if lanox and lanotech are similar products, i use lanotech on the chain too.

it is lanolin from the wool when they wash it.

the ferries in Sydney harbour use lanotech to stop the barnacles from sticking themselves to the boats, as a result of it building a film over time they use less fuel per week because they “slip” through the water better.

concrete formeres also use it on the form work to stop the water and cement sticking, they get 10 times the amount of forms before having to replace them.

i haven’t done my plastics in some time.

i sanded some of the smaller scratched out of the rear guard with wet and dry with a few grades until they were reduced in depth. then hit with some cheap spray can clear.

end result looked good for the amount of effort put in.

i think maybe a 1/4ly or maybe 6 monthly update on the finances to date needed to run the site?

or even just a funds needed to continue for the next 1/4 so that the members can see and donate an amount, and then once that amount is reached lock the tread or something.

just my input on what could be put in place before the compulsory membership fee is imposed.

SORRY for the admin crew! another point to ponderB)

i use Penrite enduro in my lc4, in the gsx 600. and now also in my ducati monster. i run penrite in my cars.

the back of the enduro bottle has a list of what penrite oil to use in what bike. their HD in harly etc. and what car oil can be used in certain bikes.

i used to run penrite hi-per 2t but they changed the branding of their 2t oils and don’t know what they make for high performance 2t’s.

one of the guys that used to work at the dealer where i adopted Katie from, used to test for Pentire, all their bike oils. he rode MX, Motard and trials, so he knows a bit about bikes, riding and what is needed from an oil.

but as long as you find an oil that is suited to your bike ( you can only be guided by what others say they use/ recommend) you basically have to find what you like/require, can be readily obtained and at a reasonable price.

personally i do not like the shell ( advance 4 from memory ) KTM were recommending for the 2002 4t range, my 640 was below the add about 300 kms short of it’s change due milage.

the penrite enduro has not failed me to date and i rarely have to top it up between changes, that’s why i recommend it. and it’s about 1/2 the price of the shell advance 4.

    anyway that’s my sixpence worth.

Mate you know they make after market quarter panels for those things, don’t fit to bad either.

i do now, i’ll keep that in mind if i ever do another holden ute. do you know of any prices?

the owner knew of a guy that had bought all the N.O.S. side panels but by the time he pulled his finger out and got me the number the guy had sold the last L/H one 2 months before hand. so you snooze you loose, i guess.

+ the owner wanted a street machine on a 120Y budget, not a rally budget either menace.

usually because they are button only and did not have enough charge in the battery to start. and it is such a pain to jumpper lead them:blink:

my post was mainly for poke factor though:dry:

push starting is only when all else fails.

Not very good when you’re on flat ground though eh? :P

the only bike we’ve had trouble push starting is a hog with a flat batt and no magic button. they need a full 12v at the points just so you can even kick them into life:ohmy:

apart form that every bike i’ve had i could push on my own, even the gsx 600.
