a pron star looses his abilities, so he goes to Centrelink. he lands a job with the local servo.
2 days later he is back. the Clerk asked why he was sacked after only on day.
so she calls the servo. and asks “was he rude?
servo owner: “no he was polite and pleasant to everyone.”
clerk: “oh was he lazy? “
servo owner: ” no he started 5min early and and finished 5min after closing, he was on the go all day. looking for things to do while there were no customers.”
clerk: Well why was he dismissed after only one day?
servo owner “he has a real bad habit”
the clerk in a questioning tone inquired: “and what ‘bad habit’ could be enough to outweigh such a willing, helpful, working attitude ??”.
the servo owner answered: ” when filling a car, before the tank was full, he would pull the nozzle out and spray fuel all over the windscreen…….”

300kg ‘miniature’ pig
what’s a non miniature one??? :pinch:
imagine the damage a 300kg pig could do if it smelled a slice of bread or it’s favourite treat on your precious ride.
“hello AMMI?. yes i was wondering if my insurance policy covers ‘ingestation by pets’??”
A: 😆 😆 excuse me while i transfer you to another operator….. as i cannot ‘remain professional’, ‘miniature pig ate his 650 dirt bike’ 😆 chuckle, snort, only 300kg he says, giggle, pahahaha.”
to be honest 2/3 of full throttle is more an educated guess sort of.
as i said, see what top gear and full throttle rpm is. then i’d be comfortable to hold it as 1/2 to 2/3 of full throttle for longer periods of time.
as TB said i’d lean more on the side of caution, most cars, trucks etc. are geared to cruise at 100km/h in top gear at approx. 1/4 of their redline. based on most 1990 onwards Falcons they mostly cruise at 100km/h at around the 1800rpm mark in top gear. but redline at 5500-6500.
utes with a lower ratio would be at around 2200-2800 rpm. making it quite safe to sustain 1000-1500 rpm higher than std. cruising rpm.
if the redline is for e.g. 6500 i’d be leaning more to being happy to run it for longer periods at say 4000 rpm. max. but i’m talking 30+ km … not just a few km of more open flowing fire frails
but one thing to keep in mind is if you intend to run the engine at double the normal cruise rpm you would be inclined to change the oil more frequently than the stated periods.
i would have thought 6000 maybe even a tad high.
what is it like at 2/3 throttle?
i would have thought that 2/3 throttle would have been a comfortable sustained speed.
but those that have /had XR 250 can guide you more accurately.
i would have thought 6000rpm more 2T territory.
does the XR have a tacho? my way of thinking would be what rpm is it at when pinned in top gear? and go somewhere between 1/2 to 2/3’s of that for prolonged constant rpm.
winning butt= GAY!!!

at least there should be some pics of some of the parts that needed replacing. or at the very least pics of the techno coloured ‘lawn cranskies’..
i reckon the true story is someone picked up their brand spankin new steed. and thought ‘it’s only a few km home, and i’ll just drive real slow and careful like. so i don’t need to tie it on.”
and one pothole later :pinch: :S
mmm light weight 2smoker in Motard form… is it as much fun as it looks?? :B

Triumph tried to remake it with the Scrambler, forgotten what year, but apparently it wasn’t the best ‘dual sport’.

Beware the Retiree on pension day!!!
“Working people frequently ask retired people what
they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day, Bev my wife and I
went into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, ‘Come on, man,
how about giving a senior citizen a break?’
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him an a–hole . He glared at me and started
writing another ticket for having worn-out tires. So Bev called him a s–t head. He finished the
second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he started writing more tickets.
This went on for about 20 minutes.
The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it
and went home.We try to have a little fun each day now that we’re retired.
It’s important at our age.”
:woohoo: 😆
Hey JAK, been a while..
a pic or two may help…. if you need any axle, brake, spring parts etc. get em from Melb. trailer centre.
have you had the drum off ?? but it’s a bit hard to adjust em correctly with the drum off….
go the CRM 250ar… Purple ones with the Mugen kit go the best:silly: that is if they are later CRM’s. very under rated bike…. dunno why honda canned em.
guess not enough interest and the guy that was developing the AR/ Activated Radical combustion lost his Honda funding for RnD:angry:
