    Howdy Adam,

when my sister was living in Tumbarumba i always wanted to try and see if i could ride from there to the ACT through the forest.

i wasn’t confident enough to have a crack on my own, as at that time i didn’t have a GPS or any idea for that matter.

have you done any riding out that way?

    drew.

so how many Km’s you put up on her Aido?

how come you’ve not changed your avatar yet?

    does it mono really well?

what’s it like with the EFI compared to a carb bike?

what’s it like riding a bike with a flat seat after having the Harley seat?

what’s it like riding a bike with some power after the WR??

have you found out if you can push start an EFI bike?
did you avoid the need for changing you undies at each smoke stop by going commando?
what’s it like having to answer so many Q?’s after changing brands?

Do you mean the other way around – bore is different stroke is the same?

you almost had me going for a moment AB,

but never mess with someone that has a super power 👿

Google is my friend :woohoo: my memory is not :(

2006 Berg all 100mm bore, stroke : 450- 57.2mm, 550- 70mm, 650 80mm. the complete bottom end, gearbox etc. were identical. just a different crank and conrod. i’m not sure if the cams and carbs were the same or not.

Edit: AB where did you find the info you posted, the info i got was the 570 is 100mm bore, but your’s 105mm.

just trying to get the proper info..is all

    Yep daddy AB

you can take the slug out of the 450 and fit it to the 390.

as they are both 95mm bore. the 570 is 100mm bore, interestingly the 390/450 are 11.1:1 comp ratio, but the 570 is 12.2:1.

all 3 of the the older Bergs with the upright cylinder were a 100mm bore but just a different stroke.

choppa ( has a 570 ) on the last ride i did with him at Glenmaggie found out if there is any residue of fuel on the air filter from washing it, it plays havoc with the ECU and oxygen sensor

Aido shoulda kept his Kato 250 and put the 350 kit in it :p

    A Bike For AIDO

i was going to suggest a Kato 690, but if the 450 is too much bike for you. if the 450 is too much how is upgrading to a berg 390 or the Kato 400 going to help??

umm so how often should the bolts and nuts be replaced??

K8ii has almost 15 000 km on her and as far as i know they have never been replaced.

but i have not had one come loose either, and i have never used locktite of any sort on them

however mine is an AG bike with a cush drive hub, does that make a difference?

some 1st year physicist students are in deep discussion.
a professor goes to see what they are talking about.

they were discussing what was fastest by the speed it is accomplished in.

the 1st student said a wink is fast, it is over just after it begins, the 2nd interjects that a blink is faster as it’s a natural process that requires no thought process. the 3rd says well a thought is faster, there is no delay between the thought and the body’s reaction.

the 4th says that electricity is fast, albeit tongue in cheek, as you flick the switch and the light goes on instantaneously.

the long time professor says “here is some thing for you to consider, diarrhea is faster than all you have mentioned”.

the students in amazement and bemusement ask how can that be so?!?!

the professor replies that suffering a bout of diarrhea just a couple of days ago, “before i could wink, blink, think or turn the light on i had shat myself”.

in your thinking of the extra money, dose that mean you are thinking of selling your KLX and buying a second hand DRZ?? hopefully for less than you will sell your bike for.

other wise i would have thought keeping the bike you have would be more economical than changing bikes. maybe detune the KLX?? or put a restrictor in the muffler???

other than that i have little idea.

going from a soft yellow berry to a hard core citrus would be to much for your yummy to handle Boony.

prolonged consumption on your behalf would inevitably induce such symptoms as heart burn, runny bum, stretched arms, wheely rash and the dreaded tankslap.

on our behalf if would cause irritated red eyes and tender ribs from all the laughter at what Bol would be posting up on youtube.

. :cheer: :P :woohoo: 😆 :pinch:  👿
