i too have worn one, and like most that ware one for the first few times, i’m neither convinced yet weather it dose or dose not assist in balance..
i think a real test might come from say a balance beam or somewhere you know you are unsteady on your feet. do it with and without it on a few occasions back to back..
and then i’d probably still be unsure…

😆 😆
BoonyDiesel, isn’t that something to do with what they are buildin down near Geelong, you know takes sea water and turns it into drinking water.
so service the air you don’t have to take the valve out you just depress the middle bit under the taker outer thingo… if it hisses at you it’s not mad at you that’s the sound of the ghost of the air that was in there before…
better check the distributor and points while you’re giving the narny the once over for Nundle.
you da man Menace,
i’d buy a 640 over a 625 then
there are a few threads on TT about the advantages/ disadvantages of taking out the counter shaft and balancer to free up some hp… but i doubt it’d be worth the hassle.
depending on how bad they are, some use wet and dry and lots of water on them. starting with a mildly coarse girt/grade and work to a finer grade in a different direction to the previous grade until it is how you want.
when i do paint i cut back the rough stuff (usually primer/filler) with 400,
i’d start with about an 800 for any mild scratches and work up to a 2500 to finish off with.
but on plastics that are just faded maybe start at about 1200 and work to 2500. then hit her with some spray silicone .
as for the balancer on the counter shaft someone will have to fill us in.
as far as i know the main differences between the 640 and the 625 SXC it the SXC got a ‘high flow’ head, and trimmed down tank, and i think slightly stiffer suspension from the factory.
and looks like alloy muffler instead of the steel one on the 640. oh and no love handles on the SXC.however i may well be corrected.
and as for the kicker being on the wrong side, the button is still on the right side;)
my 640 (625cc) has only ever shaken me off it in the 15000 kms it’s done :S
not one bolt ever has vibrated out.
so another one has seen the light!!
it’ll Be quite some time before he or she comes clean!!
so it’ll be when it goes in for it’s first service i’d say
as with any Kato owner you just never want to get off it!!!!.

i guess there’d be some small ‘R’ clips that hold a pin that’d hold em in place.any harder than that and i’d trade it in on orange;)
how long has Boony been offline???
hope you posted before he tried my suggestion TB :S

check here for an exploded view of the rear http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=300265&category=Motorcycles&make=SUZUKI&year=2005&fveh=7242
it shows where the grub screws are that cover the pins that hold the pads in place.
um i’d guess you’d start by unbolting the calipers.
