Ive got 20mm risers with the pastrana fmx high bend on my ktm it feels about right, although the bars are narrow and it takes a little getting used to. I’m 185cm, 6 foot 1

    i too am around 6″1′
For a quick reference check out the Vic. High country Snow Ride

look at the difference between Lc’s bike and mine, you can see how much of a difference his set up makes, i thought LC only had bar raisers.

comparing our bikes i saw LC had raisers, and renewed my thoughts of getting a set, after seeing the diff in the pic i looked into raisers only, but now i’ll at bar and bend too.

LC how much of a difference did your set up make to the overall feel of your bike? hills mainly.

on the snow ride i really noticed how hard i had to work when standing up on the first steep gnarly hill we did Friday.

my set up has never been an issue on the flat. but thought i’d feel more comfortable in the hills with a similar set up to your’s.

That’d be right, just as us chimps just  get the hang  of it all you go and change it :P

yeah i like the new options, although with out a tutorial it took a while to get the hang of it.

the web link tool is great, takes the hassle out of getting it right with the [url= ] then putting description between it.

just copy n paste to bar, type description underneath and clic add. all dune in a 1/4 of the time! B)

and i like the preview window up date. if you change something like smilies after opening the preview it automatically updates it! ;)

so what new update do you have? ;)

    slightly off subject,

but has anyone been told that if you start your bike after washing it, you should get it up to operating temp?

i was told by a KTM/ SUZ / Triumph Mechanic. when buying a 2nd hand 2T bike to be wary of bikes that are washed, started and run to the shed and then turned off.

he explained that if there were any moisture in/around the air box that could be sucked into the engine, it sits on the crank, bearings etc. and can rust these parts. causing crank failure.

where as if the bike is washed and put away without being started is far better than only being run for a moment or two then being put in the shed.

or run to operating temp, it rids the crank case of any water.

i know the point is that you seal off the air box and pipe when washing to avoid this, however some overlook it.

mate had an RZ500, filled it up and the young bloke said that an older bike that used to run super will need flash lube stuff added in the fuel.

mate ask me that it would be useless as it didn’t have valves.

    i said pretty much. 😆

i only use valve saver in the cars with LPG fitted.

that was my 1st thought Bruce.

they’d have to be going to a place that was not going to be checking vin’s etc.

i thought, out the back blocks somewhere. where it’s hours between houses?

some of the islands close by?

can they contact Ktm Aus. to email all the KTM dealers to flag all queries for an 09 cdi unit?

7 bikes at Yallah nsw ( spelling?), 11 from sutto’s, i’m with you Bruce, organised crime for sure.
