    Hi Dennis,
Sorry no EFPOS facilities. No phone line, no power. Balance payable in

    and this one…..

    Hi Dennis,
you can arrive anytime you want, I normally don’t supply tea as most usually finish work
and then come up at various intervals, grabbing something on the way.
However, what I will do is have a large pot of fresh homemade soup on the
fire and everybody is welcome to help themselves (a bowl full is a meal).
    You wont starve.
If you get up early enough you’ll be able to get a familiarity ride in.
Also, as we have limited refrigeration we have a couple of large eskys for
drinks, suggest you bring a few extras and some ice. Depends on how good a
    drinkers you are.
    Regards
    Brian

i don’t know definite years etc.

but the xl 250 R was up to 82, and a quick search just returned XL 350 R up to 86.

but the XL’s were early 70’s on.

    my 02 640 is 136 dry weight!

Boony – The 450 is 113.9Kg without fuel according to the technical data on the KTM website :-)thats 6 kilos lighter than the dry weight of the DRZ,however the coin is what shys me away $14000.00 thats 5k more than the DRZ.
You can have a go on my bike at Louee if you want :) I would try and blag a go on Menace’s 300 as well as they are a great bike, a true all rounder :)

Was it the same difference as the 650? Air cooled Vz Liquid cooled?

even in my limited knowledge, i know both bikes were aircooled:P

what year did the XR go water cooled? was it in the 600’s or 6fiddy?

the 400 was air all the way until it was replaced with the CRF

BTW TB are you toying with me cos i’m SlOw, or the info for real?

Can you let us how much it costs to get done Tiny when you sort it please?

i could be totally guessing here Moto, but when am i not:S

to do 2 muffler mounts should not be any more than an hours work, so should only be the rate the guy charges for per hour.

tig/ alloy filler costs/charged at about $1 per stick if bought individually , i don’t know if they charge for argon? i doubt they could work it out per litre so would be factored into the hourly rate.

at the outside most, it would not take anymore than 3 sticks of filler wire, if it is just cracked/ broken off.

if you clean all the spots well to be welded with stainless wool, you usually use a stainless wire brush to knock the oxide off the alloy, they will only have to weld it.

cleaning takes more time than the actual welding it’s self.

as usual i hope this helps but replies/time will only tell:huh:

KTM had FI back in 05.;)

but took em another 3 yrs to put it on the single cylinder:(

once the 300’s go FI i might look at buying on again, until then they can keep their 2T!

Kwaka had FI on the 82-84 900 but went back to carbs, they did FI on the OS klx 250’s a few yrs back, but it has been said that the US dealers didn’t think the buyer would hand over the extra $2-300 for FI.

i’m not sure if the AUS dealers reasoned the same?

with the WR going FI before the YZ could that be due to volume of sales here in Aus?= need to have a full Reg. bike to ride on public land/forests etc.

and being the YZ is more aimed at MX, and carb based is more easily tuned to suit rider, conditions etc.??
