    Well Fossil,

you make some very good points indeed. yes i have no idea what the overheads are.

i’m not bagging All shops, as i tried to say some are worth the money the shop charges them out at. and i do not argue paying it if it’s worth it.

my main bitch was over a shop i had dealings with, they ripped me off as they were partly to blame for my bikes problems, and said they would “look after me” on the fix, they only looked after my money.

and will never deal with them again and i WILL tell people that i would not recommend them at all.

yes well BC it was a stab in the dark.

and i’m still not sure if i should have multiplied by .25 as i did or if it should have been .025 witch would have been a bit closer to your 1/2 mm.

with your need for more power when in motard trim.

is that commuting on the black top or motard track?

do you require it for hyw speed? maybe different gearing?

just trying to get a more rounded pic of what you want/need.

i’m in no way trying to talk you out of buying a new(er) bike just throwing options up:blush:

I am pretty happy with the 450. It goes somewhat quicker than the 250. I just have to get some more ride time in to master the beast.

I will have to find another excuse for not being able to keep up with you now:blush:

yeah you can only steer so much by balancing, while on the rear wheel.

    Yeah Sorry Fez and Admin.

they say people pick on others to make them selves feel better about them self.

i apologise for taking liberties, Again.

now just a thought i had and wanted to ask.

With the rate alloy can grow and shrink with temperature changes.

i know on a rim it would be minimal.

however if there was a 1/4 mm on each spoke, it could mean up to 9mm difference over 36 spokes? could it not?

but if it was asembled and tightened / tuned at ( warm workshop temp ) and then ridden in the morning maybe considerably cooler/ cold, as Fez did,

could this cause any spokes that were borderline/ just tight enough to be loose?

With the NSW plates now 2 letters 2 numbers 2 letters. i reckon IB 00 ZA would be funny.

a ute here has the square bicentenary plates black with white riting
    YUM
    069 on it.

there is a tread on a ford forum on funny plates an SA car had TIHSHO

it took a wile for me to work it out as i thought it read THIS HO as in GT HO.

but someone said that he would laugh if he saw it in the rear view mirror coming up behind him, well thought out.

A husband walks into Victoria’s Secret to purchase a sheer negligee for
    his wife.
He is shown several possibilities that range from $250 to $500 in price
    — the more sheer, the higher the price.
Naturally, he opts for the best, pays the $500 and takes it home.
He presents it to his wife and asks her to go upstairs, put it on and
    model it for him.
Upstairs the wife thinks (she’s no dummy), ‘I have an idea. It’s so
sheer that It might as well be nothing. I won’t put it on, but I’ll do
the modeling naked, return it tomorrow and keep the $500 refund for
    myself.’
She appears naked on the balcony and strikes a pose.
The husband says, ‘Good Grief! You’d think for $500, they’d at least
    iron it!’
    He never heard the shot.
    Funeral on Thursday at Noon
    . Closed coffin.

So we need a support vehicle for this to happen if anybody has any thoughts I am open to suggestions

If we dont get one in the next couple of weeks we wont get accommodation for the numbers and it will be canned

    TB

Hi TB, i’ve not re-read the whole thread.

will the support vehicle be supplied by someone booked in for the ride?

i may put my hand up for the time being. i don’t have a 4×4.

have you finalised the start and end points?

what will be on the necessity list? i.e. swag etc.

i know fuel cans are a must and i can bring a few 20L drums and tools. tie downs and tarps.

let us know if anything else, drew.

    Chicken Surprise

A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the ‘Chicken
Surprise’, The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot.

Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises
slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around
before the lid slams back down.

‘Good grief, did you see that?’ she asks her husband. He hasn’t, so she
asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises,
and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down.

Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening,
    and demands an explanation.

‘Please sir,’ says the waiter, ‘what you order?’

    The husband replies, ‘Chicken Surprise.’

‘Ah! So sorry,’ says the waiter, ‘I bring you Peeking Duck!’

can i ask why you are considering a change?

    the 5.1 looks the goods!

do you have mods? pipe etc? are they available ?

just a thought that a few mods would be cheaper if you get the gains from them.

anyway just another dimes worth  from me.
