I’ll have to look him up?
CheersMay 23, 2013 at 4:20 am #242316OK so are you permanently installing the O2 sensor? Apparently they generally don’t like 2 stroke, particularly oil rich mixtures of that era – 25:1?
May 23, 2013 at 5:42 am #242318Yeah, that is so, but I am running 30:1 full synthetic which helps.
There is also a way to clean the sensors, well with very high temperatures.
Eventually I’ll record the Map and load a fixed map which can be selected, in the event of sensor failure.
With this system you can log data to your phone, they have an app, as well as the computer.cheers
May 23, 2013 at 6:30 am #242323Great result Gazza!!
No go out and ring its neck :woohoo:STM
May 23, 2013 at 7:22 am #232733I’m amazed Gazza, e-injection on a bike that old. Mmm I had a 430 husky from about 81 that would have ripped with that … but then there was the brakes (yeh Gazza, ur right NONE! :woohoo: ) and the handling … no big jumps but f’n flat out thru the bush (imagine a 430 2St with 6 gears that would do 100mph in the bush) … or was that cause i was young and somewhat bullet proof??? probably the second one!! …. better add stupid to that, though in my defence I knew no better
Impressive Mate. keep the updates coming!!
IvaMay 23, 2013 at 7:34 am #242328Workin’ on a hydraulic disc for the front.
GazzaMay 23, 2013 at 7:36 am #242297Saw the video on Yutube, looks like a pursang dressed up as a Frontera.
GazzaMay 23, 2013 at 7:37 am #232734F me can you build a Husky for me??
just jokin’ I marvel at oyur committment, I could probably do this if I committed … nah who am i foolin… oh yeh … ME!!
May 23, 2013 at 7:37 am #242325A little running in, is in order first, but should be one hell of a ride.
GazzaMay 23, 2013 at 7:40 am #242331Love to build you a Husky, but honestly, the new frames and brakes are much better I just love the challenge.
2 Strokes are coming back but with direct injection, watch this space.

cheersYes I checked out the web site and youtube vids on their products. Impressive. Very surprised at the pricing. I was thinking thousands not hundreds. Very cheap. There is a nice vid on youtube of a DR650 with mounted Android and AFM display. So yes if you don’t have luck with the O2 sensor just run open loop you will probably never know the difference. Mount the 02 when you want to mess with it. Cool project
June 27, 2013 at 1:29 am #242390So Gazza what’s the latest. I saw you changed the header and added the O2 sensor in another thread. Have you rode it yet? In the dirt?
June 27, 2013 at 6:09 am #244715Not yet struggling with a tuning problem at the moment.
I might have to put it on a dyno to sort.
Fortunately there is one in Fountaindale on the coast near me.
I’ll update when riding.
Cheers
