Describe ‘fully set up dr650’ for me

I have an dr650 with 8000 kms on it, IMS tank (not safari) and a rack – otherwise standard with NSW rego until September.

Not necessarily for sale but will consider offers given that I have no work and the money could be useful.

Thanks go to Bollocks. Very quick off the mark….thanks for the contact details. Spoke to Tamworth Bikes and Bitz? There indeed was a great bmw 650 gs dakar. Matt knew a guy who had one. It sounded great. Spoke to the bike owner. He sold it couple of days ago. It sounded perfect too.
Panniers and rego. Ready to go….Bugger.

Is that an LC4 with a left footed kickstarter? If it is then it’s no good to me.
Mate had one . Good thing on the road and the dirt but I am too fat and lazy not to have a button….

I just checked out those two BMW’s. One has 81k on it and he wants $7900. Tell him he’s dreaming….It must be an 03 or 04 perhaps? or just mint condition.
The other has 115k and he wants $6000 more reasonable price but so many k’s and 2000 model first of them from what I gather. So far away from me. Freight is $600 to get the bike to me and how do I know if its any good?
There is a mint 2000 model in Brissie with 13k for $7000. I need saddle bags ($680) and NSW rego )($600) do $8280 for a mint one with 13k on the clock.
Thats what I want but I only want to spend $7000 tops.

Just have to keep on looking.

These BMW’s can get a lot of Kays up as they are mostly ridden onroad. One on bike sales has 165000 :woohoo: I dont think I would be to worried about something with less than 50000 on it if it has a proven service history and appears to be in good shape.
