    Thanks to all for the advice. I bought a Dakar 2002 with 53ks for $6800. 4months rego.
    Just needed the bike quickly for in 3 weeks we are heading to the corner.
    This one has the original BMW panniers and rack system, tank bag and ABS and heated grips.
    Pretty much ready and set to go. full service history and pedantic owner. Never dropped. Straight as can be.
    May need a rear tyre as the one on it is maybe a bit road oriented.

    The next topic I post will be in regards to a good route out to the corner.
