Really am thinking of going bigger now mate and the green 650 is too big I think. Will have to ride a KLX and see though.
May 4, 2010 at 8:20 am #177656Feisty fellows aren’t ya’ll… Its amazing to see how much passion each one has about the sport and weapon/tool one chooses to enjoy the sport..
I posed the question really for only one reason.. When I woke up Monday morning the only thing on my body that hurt was my right leg :woohoo: I think I kicked the old girl 30+ times in the 8-10 hours of riding this weekend.. So I thought well maybe I should consider something with a button.. I know lets go ask the boys at OBT!! :woohoo:
Never meant for ya’ll to shit fight..
When the time comes which unfortunately wont be in the immediate future the advice provided will sink in I’m sure.. If those willing to let me have a go of the various options come to be.. I think that advice to try a few on the tracks first is good advice..
Before I can do anything I need to sort a dilemma I found while cleaning the old girl up Monday.. It seems I have a 5c to 10c size rust hole in the bottom of my frame which jumped out at me when I removed my bash plate to change the oil.. I’ve been communicating with someone to obtain another frame so in the short term I need to find out what hassle the RTA is going to put me through to change the VIN and TB has offered to help me swap everything over if and when I get the other frame.. I figure if I have her all apart I mine as well take the opportunity to fix up any other things that may show up..
Thanks everyone for your input.. While it may seem to have not come through.. It has!!

We will check them when we change the frame over anyway

May 4, 2010 at 9:17 am #177815She went alright, no drops, no falls or stalls. Bottomed out once on the lower part of the hill in the videos and agin going through the deep bog in Mick’s phot’s. Almost got stuck in the slop at the start but got through and a bit of momentum before it bottomed out near the other side. Near put me over the bars it pulled up that quick. :S
May 4, 2010 at 9:28 am #177657yes the 30 kicks was the total stops and starts to take in the scenery or watch riders tackle obstacles or a view of the map etc.. so a lot of start and stop and the ole girl never requires more than 1 or 2 kicks to get her going even cold.. I have been told that I need the valve seals done as it is burning about 150 to 200 ml of oil every 500 k’s or so..
Mine as well check the piston and re-ring it too TB
