Quote:Registering a vehicle with cancelled or expired registrationYou will need to re-register a vehicle if it has been registered in NSW before and the previous registration was not renewed within three months of the expiry date, or the registration has been cancelled.
You need to go to a motor registry, or send an authorised representative, to re-register the vehicle.
What you need to provide:
*
Proof of your identity, or if you’re registering the vehicle in the name of a company or organisation, proof that the company or organisation is a legal entity.
*
Proof of entitlement to register the vehicle.
*
Proof of your residential address in NSW.
*
A hard copy green slip or CTP Policy Receipt with the number plate section blank (except for trailers). The period of cover must be 12 months for light vehicles.
*
A blue slip from an Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station (AUVIS).
*
Evidence of repairs if the vehicle is a repairable write-off.
*
An engineer’s certificate if the vehicle has been modified beyond the owner-certified level, or is an Individually Constructed Vehicle (ICV).
*
The number plates (if available).
*
A completed Application for Registration, available from the Registration Forms link below.
*
Evidence of your eligibility for a pensioner or other concession.
*
A Representative’s Authority if the vehicle is being registered in the name of an organisation, or if you send someone to register the vheicle for you.
o
For a company, the Director or authorised delegate must complete and sign the Representative’s section on the Application for Registration form, or provide a letter of authorisation on letterhead.
o
In the case of an incorporated association, the Public Officer must sign.
o
In all cases, the authorised representative must provide proof of their identity.
*
Payment for fees, taxes and charges.
*
All vehicles presented for registration (including interstate and imported vehicles) may need to be inspected by the RTA’s Vehicle Identification and Inspection Unit (VIIU). There is an additional fee for this inspection. If your vehicle needs a VIIU inspection, you will be notified at the time of registration. What you may need to pay:
*
Registration fees.
*
Stamp duty.
*
Number plate fees.
*
Inspection fee (the blue slip).
*
Vehicle identification inspection fee.
*
CTP insurance premium (the green slip).Technically pink slips don’t really exist anymore as the system has gone electronic. You get your inspection
Quote:It’s easy to renew your rego online or by phone. All pink slips are sent to the RTA electronically and are known as e-Safety Checks. New vehicles*, such as cars, motorcycles and caravans, will not need an inspection until they are over five years old and you can take advantage of short term rego options (six month rego for cars, motorcycles and light trucks and three months rego for trailers). Please note that while the registration calculator will provide fees for a three month renewal of cars and light trucks, the three month option is only available for trailers and some heavy vehicles at present.
Renew your rego in three easy steps:Step 1. Renew your green slip – most green slips are sent electronically to the RTA by your insurer.
Before you renew – compare green slip prices from ALL insurers with the green slip calculator at http://www.greenslips.nsw.gov.au.Step 2. Get an e-Safety check (previously a pink slip) – only needed if your vehicle is more than five years old*.
Check your renewal notice to see if you need one. The term of your CTP green slip must be the same as the term of your vehicle registration.
* Light vehicles only. Some exceptions apply. Your renewal notice will indicate if an inspection is required.Step 3. Renew your rego online – you’ll need to have your Certificate of Registration Renewal Notice handy. Primary Producers can self declare on myRego but must be able to supply appropriate documentation if required.
I bet you still haggled until you were satisfied you’d ripped yourself off
I’d make a few phone calls and just be up front about it only being a dirt bike and if they sound like they can hear you winking high five your self.
You know it was a hard decision between husky and BMW but those latte drinkers deserve more schtick

Its worth asking but I think Roy is saying that the o/s price is comparable to the local Ebay price indicating that it seems fair rather than indicating he’d buy them from o/s. In case it isn’t clear the Ebay link is a QLD seller for $52

I can’t seem to get the ebay link to show up. It is frustrating the hell out of me. But if you are interested look up ktm rear brake reservoir in ebay and have a look. They are $51 delivered.
I just fixed that link for you Roy. Ebay is difficult to hyperlink you need to click “share” as in email to a friend then click back to item description and it gives a different URL which is compatible with OBT’s BB code.
I couldn’t find the resevoir extension in ballards cattle dog can anyone post up the details? Also could someone please convince ballards that their catalogue, although great being its online, is a pita for no apparent reason considering so many other online cattle dogs arent’!?!?
Have you changed fluids lately? Mine seems to have gone spongey very quickly in the front and rear so I’m going to try and flush and bleed them and see if it happens again.
Yeah it was just dust and crap up under the seal.
:silly: Reminded me of this

Similar to the KTM guys at Baja this year. They fitted an aftermarket stator sourced from a reputable company to handle the increased draw from the lights and it failed.
“We needed a bigger stator than the stock KTM 530 XCW stator to power the large lights required for the late night riding, but ours purchased through Ricky Stator in the USA failed when the solder broke on the wiring, stopping the bike at the 242 mile mark – ending our Baja ride with major disappointment,” said Williscroft(team manager).
“When we pulled the bike down to determine the problem, our disappointment intensified when we found it wasn’t mechanical, but rather the solder had broke on the wiring of the stator purchased through Ricky Stator in the USA. We needed a larger stator to the standard one on the KTM 530 XCW to support the larger lights required for night riding, but this one recommended let us down. “
Awww crap! Man that must be hard to face, bad luck Mal and crew you deserved better guys
Can anyone give a summary about what the cold start test is other than the obvious?
