I was more concerned that I had upset someone else, as opposed to me being upset.
Life is full of “what if” or “if only” moments. WE take the risk of encountering one of those moments every day of our lives. “What if” he had someone with him to do CPR, the outcome may have been different, maybe not, who knows? That is way life’s dice roll and all we can do is try and minimise the risks which isn’t always easy to do in our sport as there are many things that can go wrong.
I am a fine one to condemn people for riding alone, I quite regularly ride to the top of Bago on my own, to take in the view and contemplate the world. With that comes a risk of encountering a “what if”.
Ginger from Gilligan’s island rocked my boat as a kid. (pun intended)
Wendy James from Transvision Vamp was an exceptional bit of work in the 80’s

They came off his bike, SM Pro is the brand, dunno how much they are worth. Suttos have a good deal going on rims and hubs I think, check them for prices, Dunno why you’d be interested in the black rims on my bike when Katos have come standard with black rims for some time. :S
I wonder if the countershaft sprocket is on the swingarm pivot like the G450X?

I do believe TB has just stooped lower than Eagle in the Muc off plug stakes..LOL

Well done Captain Obvious

It was a very selfless act for Mick to sacrifice the XR, so the other riders could use it as a bridge across the ditch of death.

Hey Nat, I have just been offered a 03 YZ450F for $1300. Trouble is the big end is blown. Otherwise there would be a lot of handy parts on it for you.
Ridehery and busy223 are keen too
Shell as in mthickett has special womens armour with the bumps in the right places, maybe she could help as I can’t think of the brand.
As it turns out Boony has just dropped in to say gday here at the office and he has just come over the mountain this morning(admittedly in his XR6). I asked how the road was and he said great, no worse than normal and that there is only one sketchy bit near a land slip above Mt Seaview Resort.

TB
I realise this TB but if you read the article he was speaking on behalf of the Mid north coast branch of Ulysses.
In his defence,I will say, I do believe the road was better maintained 20 years ago than it is now. They had guys working up there full time keeping the road in shape.(My Late Uncle was one of those blokes). When I was a kid the bloody road was gravel all the way from Yarras to Kangaroo Flat, I had many a car sick chunder out the window as a kid.
I have done that road more times than I could count over the last 25 years. The last time I was up there last year, a bike had just taken out a Nissan Pathfinder, looking at the marks on the road and the car, rider error was the obvious cause.
My take is it is a great road if ridden to the conditions. I have come over at night on a GPZ1100 in the middle of winter and black ice and wallabies are an issue. What do the Ulysses want to do about those two problems I wonder? Hit a wallaby and the National parks are to blame??An over night gully raker can spread gravel across the road in no time and there will be no signs there to tell you of the problem if you are one of the first on the mountain for the day. There are certain sections that see no sun EVER and can stay wet for days after rain, they can give you a nasty surprise too.
So as Bruce says never ride on the limit. One other contributor to accidents is guys riding in groups and riding beyond their ability in order to stay with the pack.
