You only posted that because I found out it was on,ya big sook.
I might just turn up now.
My mate at the tyre service across the road has put a vulcanising patch on the inside of the case and all is good.$20 well spent I think considering he even fitted the tyre.
We have tried the small UHF hand helds before Champo. The ones we were trying to use were rated to 10km line of sight and they didn’t seem to be effective in the bush around here. My 2c worth.

I am with you ECKS,I have pretty well stayed out of this thread,it is down right wrong!!
I should change its name to the cesspit. As I said in a previous post he asked my opinion and got it. It is my opinion. Not yours TB and not Dave’s either. From memory neither of you have ridden with one, so you cant really comment on my opinion of the EVS.
All along I have said that neck protection is a good thing. When I have tried a Leatte for 10 rides or more I might feel qualified to comment on someone’s opinions of them, until I do I will reserve my opinions on Neck Braces to the EVS.Rocket asked my opinion and got it. I still say they are a good thing, I just pointed out the down sides of wearing one, because I have actually worn one on more than on ride.
The time I smacked my head on the Hill End ride was one of the occasions that came to mind when I was thinking the brace limited my ability to tuck. Admittedly I did hit my head hard enough to leave the imprint of my helmet liner on my ample forehead, that stayed visible for three days.I have had a couple of crashes with it on and hit my helmet on the ground heavily and I am still wondering if I would have broken my neck, or would I have been able to tuck and roll better with out it on and not hit my head at all.
They tend to limit how much you can” tuck” in a crash and your ability to look over your shoulder (A bugger if you are leading a ride or if you are on the main roads with other traffic). Because it sticks out from the back of your helmet, the brace also makes it hard to duck under vines, branches and the like,so you have to take that into consideration if you predominately ride trails as opposed to MX. For MX they are great,as for trail riding.the jury is still out.
I believe they are a good thing, as all safety gear is, but not something I recommend you buy over the internet. You really need to try a few different braces on, is the general consensus.SOLD
Good to see you have signed up house. Thanks for the intro, it certainly seems that the Tamworth contingent is starting to gain momentum. Not that you can get much momentum on a DRZ..LOL
BTW bring your thick skin with you and give as good as you get.
Cheers
MickCongrats to all involved in what sounds like a good day.Keep up the good work boys and keep waving the OBT banner.
