Yes I would rather watch…….
When I go to the circus I like to watch the clowns, but never have I wanted to be one.I am thinking about moving this thread to cowpatt corner as I believe that is where it belongs.
Here are some of Michelle’s pics from the day.
Me trying to think why Trippers bike wouldn’t start

A bit of tyre carnage

Fixing fixing

TRipper discovers his spare tube is in fact a front tube from a big wheel 85, those thistles were giving me the shits.

Tubes in and holding air,all is good.

Michelle has a thing for CRF’s

A pretty little place Fossil showed us.

L-R KRAM140, me having a bunger and Tripper at one of our many rest breaks.

That is why he is called Tripper and that is why his bike looks like it does!!LOL
What is the story with the push bike??
I am getting good at changing tyres now, so I will go to the tyre service across the road from my office and see what they have to fix the case.

Mine probably would have stayed up if I had a heavy duty tube in. But I didn’t and paid the price.
What a ride report!! It gave Lord of the rings a run for its money.

Your statement about you being on a better bike will need more debate.LOLTrailboss wrote:

Yeah you are probably right……..
Might put a dob of silastic in the hole.I pulled the tube out of the tyre this arvo and it was in fact a 19″ big wheel 85 tube that saved the day for me yesterday.
I gave the irc the once over and here are the pics.
With no tube.

Here it is with a new ultra heavy tube in.

What are your thoughts?? Should I replace a 90km old tyre?

Anyone interested in my current opinion of the IRC??
The knobs are 6fiddy tough and are still all intact after 90km ,from what I can work out the taller side walls, although 6 ply are soft.
Either that or I am unlucky as I put a hole in the side wall you can put your finger in,in the first 12km’s.
I am presuming it was bad luck and other than that, it lugged up well and threw rocks at the other riders as good as any tyre I have had in the past.
On the upside they have a rim protecting ridge on the tyre and they are easy to fit
Although I am disappointed to have stuffed it in such a short distance,I will watch with baited breath to see if anyone else have a similar sidewall incident.Trailboss wrote:

I wonder if it would give a different result if you had a road tyre on it.
Love to see what your BRP puts out TB. Book her in big fella.
