Looks the goods for sure, wonder why Rod didn’t want to do it and sent it to you?

I already had everything needed to get it going here and Rod was inundated with work.

Not much point having AWD on a XR650, the front wheel is never on the ground anyhow.

The OBT total has gone over the $1000 mark so far.

Thanks to the generousity of a few blokes.

Even if you can only spare $5 we will happily take it for the cause.

    Hi everyone.
So I have my bike up here now pretty settled in and that so Im keen to go for a ride whenever anyone is willing to take me. Might look into this Old Bull North Coast ride in the next couple of weeks. Anyway I look forward to meeting some of you soon hopefully.

Hey Cressy, The ride at Bull’s place is only half an hour or so from Kempsey so you’d be mad not to get on it. There has been a few guys pull out so I am sure you’d get a start if you put your name in.

Here’s the link to the ride thread.

Well I am so glad I have registered for this ride. There is more to the picture than I realised. I just got an email from the organisers and there is a link on it that inspired me more than ever. As it turns out, our very own Pezz, has his own story to tell and it is the most inspiring story I have heard for a very long time! Bring it on and fair dinkum if you guys knew the whole story you’d be jumping all over sponsoring the Old Bull’s team in the Scrapheap Adventure ride. There is a story on Youtube that I would love to post but I feel it is up to Pezz to post it, I think.
Pezz is one inspiring man. :)

One nice story that came out of the whole sad affair, was that little girl’s gesture at the Tamworth police station the other day.

Well I “snapped” the carbies out of it again this arvo, armed with TB’s advise and low and behold I discovered that one of the pilot jets was indeed blocked. I soaked the pilot jets in carby cleaner in a small container. Had a beer then blew them through with an air gun.Put the jets back in. Jammed the carbies back in and she fired first kick and ran sweet.

Carbies aren’t that hard to work out, so if your bike is running like a hairy goat after being left for a while. It might pay to get a tin of carby cleaner and give it a touch up.

Thanks TB, what you posted was right on the money. :)

    Hey Pezz,
I have just been to the RTA to see if the event is approved to allow participants to get a Unregistered vehicle permit for the event? They couldn’t tell me but gave me some forms.

How have other guys got around rego in previous years? Some of the bikes I have seen in the promo shots for the event dont look like they would pass rego.
