Can someone point me to where I would find this thing on my continuous gas unit.
I watched the interview with Simoncelli from the Philip Island GP. He was an interesting, flambouant character and an awesome rider.
Sad news. RIP
Must be bad for them to cancel the race. Hope Simoncelli is OK and can recover.
On a side note, pretty bad that Simoncelli’s helmet came off. Not sure if it’s relevant but could his hair have something to do with this. Maybe having an ill fitting helmet due to getting all that hair tucked in.
Defending a KTM owner? You’ve gone soft TB.
Things are close up front. I think we could see a sprint all the way to the end between Todd Smith and Shane Diener.

TB, you know KTM owners can’t think for themselves.
I guess the Eurotrash owners can live in hope the mighty Japanese manufacturers will suffer the same fate of the orange bikes. I say odds on for an all Red and Blue podium.
Looks like SB is still going strong.
Well, the mystery continues. I borrowed a puller this morning and pull the flywheel off. No signs of any issues under here. All screws in place as they should be and no sign of anything rubbing on the flywheel either inside or out.
Just did some searching and found a guy who build a 99 RMX250 motard. He had a screw back out of stator which caused a screeching noise. Could I be so lucky it will be this simple?
Thanks Ollie, it’s a bit late for me to check the voltage as I already have the top end off. First plan of attack will be to get hold of a puller and have a look at the stator. If thats fine I’ll look at the clutch which is a bit grabby, although when it was making the noise pulling in the clutch made no difference to the noise so I doubt this is the cause.
Is it possible to see the crank bearing from under the stator?
It’s just a mystery that the noise went away after removing and refitting the stator cover. I would have though if a bearing shit itseft the noise would keep getting worse unit the inevitable failure.
As for the powervalve, other than the three shitty philips screws that hold it in, it looks pretty good and was working nice and smooth. Covered in black shit but that cleaned off easily.

Looks sweet and definitely debunks that first photo as a fake, no reverse head here. I think the reverse head would cause issues for tank size on the WR as the YZ has the tank over top of air filter. The YZ has a 6 litre tank  not going to far in the bush on 6 litres.
Now when are Yamaha going to bring out a WR450R like they do with the 250. Thats a bike I would be interested in.
Yeah good effort getting him out from under the car but did someone think to check if he was still alive? They all just went, bugger that i’m not touching him or doing that CPR thing.
