Quote:I use petrol to clean my filters. I am aware that the filter manufacturers will tell you not to as it degrades the material etc. but I’ve never had an issue with mine and I check the quality of the filter foam every time I oil the filter.Mick is right, if you have filter oil leaking from your airbox then you have way too much oil on there!
I know you know this but, I would keep a close eye mate on the filters, glue etc, As you have only had the bike and filters around 12 – 18 months it does take some time I had it happen on one of my XR280 filters the night before an enduro DOH!!! Petrol does clean them great but, pity

Buy a K&N filter, easiest to clean and oil on the market bar none! Flow rates and filtration is awesome used by lots of high performance race teams, note you may have to re jet
Scott had Battyes hooked me up with mine and will look after any old bulls, see link section

Yeah I reckon I would do it anyway, I do anyway

If it is gunna rain, a 6.30 am start maybe a bit adventurous as it will still be dark if it is overcast. Lets look at a 7.30 am start I think. We will discuss our options this arvo at the shed meeting.Dark, overcast, wet, and not wanting to ride in it……Pussbag Honda rider, you watch puddles will agree, he may even want to not start until 9.30

BUT Dave they turn up, you dont!

I am on to it. I can map an awesome duel sport ride from Gloucester to Wauchope. Via Bobin,Elands, Elenborough Falls, Comboyne, Toms Creek, Kindee and on to Wauchope. I will leave Rutzilla out of it though….LOL
AS promised.
Gloucester to Wingham Via the Bucketts Way 52 km tar road, turn left into Gloucester road, 13km tar to Wingham . Get fuel at Wingham
Wingham to Elands and Ellenborough Falls Via Bobin 38km mainly gravel road. When leaving Ellenborough Falls, turn left and head back the way you came, once back into the township of Elands, turn left into Colling Road following the signs to Comboyne,
Elands to Comboyne, approx 26km Gravel road.
Just after you get back on the tar (3km),look for a left turn called Innes View rd, there is a sign directing you to Boorganna nature reserve at this intersection.
Continue along Innes View Rd for approx 6 km all the while looking for Toms Creek road turn. It will be on your right and meets Innes View road at 45 degrees on a sweeping left hander.( If you hit gravel road on Innes View you have missed the turn.)
Follow Toms Creek road to the Oxley Highway (approximately 26 km gravel). Turn right at the Oxley and continue into Long Flat for fuel and food. (about 10km).
Once you leave Long Flat head back the way you came for about 3km and take the first right hand turn off, to Kindee. 1 km down Kindee road you will cross the Kindee bridge. Another 3 km along Kindee road, Pipeclay road will be on your right, take this turn and follow the road to Beechwood. (about 30 km of gravel road).
From Beechwood it is 10km of tar to Wauchope.
A rough calculation of distance 170 km all up.Are you sure thats a left turn not right Mick, just if it is I cant make sense of it

Yeah they are just 40 channel UHFs with push to talk and ear pieces, they are OK in open country but wooded country limits them, be fine for us in this ride
