You and Rick good friend eh?
Well we are back early because the Kato shat, the XR just went and went and went!
OK Kieran was going great but the bike started making a funny noise, I spoke with the Rat and he thought it may have been the clutch hub etc and that wouldn’t cause a problem they do it all the time, there was some else there that called down to drink 20 odd beers

So we ripped the exhaust of, looked around, piston skirt etc, Happy days, checked the plug, light tan colour not what I wanted, so popped the head of, all ok, so head back on, started checked the jetting, noise still there, said to Kieran 2 laps of the beginners track and I will recheck the jetting, two laps is about 300 metres, so by the time he came back noise was shocking, engine hot and wouldn’t run, on the trailer and home
Other than that kids swam rode and had a great time, they rode the tracks out the back and the front tracks it was great
Ok some pictures

I used to dislike KTM’s but now I fucking hate the things, over priced bikes that require to much up keep that are shitboxes!
Sorry I am not happy this arvo, its hot and the little Kato has shat itself big time and I am far from happy we normally have maintenance free bikes here that perform for years. Now I have a money robbing little buzz box that requires its gearbox oil changed every 5 litres of fuel and now a rebuild that if you refer to this thread http://www.obtrailriders.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=56&func=view&catid=22&id=13492
is going to cost me a 2nd mortgage on my house!Whats a pity is that its such a great bike when its going!

Welcome and cheers

Then across the Poo track, down Mt Horrible and onto the Turon, through the Phat Track and to Sofala for a beer and fuel from the support vehilce and the run to Hillend.
Sunday will be Hillend to Sofala, across the to Kandos, back down the the railway service track to Capertee, across to the back of Cullen Bullen and back through the the Zig Zag for the finish. There will still be Moto in the support vehilce to carry our bags etc as before.
We still have the the whole Royal Hotel booked the in HillEnd that weekend, cost of $680.00 this works out to be $34 each if all 20 turn up still.

19. ECKS-Man WR250 inMoto is driving the support vehicle with Chop’s 5″ x 8″ box trailer, the support vehicle is to carry our bags (Back pack size only please)and should we have a breakdown or injury.
Please read the below and have your bike ready for you and everybody on the ride
With the distance that this ride will cover all bikes that attend the ride will need to be mechanically sound.
All riders will need to carry on them
1 x new Chain joining link
1 x Front tube, front tube can be used in the front or rear
1x Spark plug
Please check your bikes over and cover the basics as it affects everybody, we all know stuff happens and that’s trail riding but I just want avoid silly things cropping up.
Basics include
Tyres, chain, sprockets, wheel brgs, spokes, cable ends, etc,There will plenty of guys there with tyre levers, pumps, nuts, bolts, wire, chain breakers, cable ties, plug spanners tape and bits and pieces so don’t stress if you don’t have those things, but bring them if you do and be self sufficient.
If you can pack a spare air filter with your chain lube and pack it in your bag and let the service vehicle take it, then if its dusty you can change it rather than clean it. (supercheap auto sell pre oiled for most bikes for $14.99 or there abouts)
One final thing can all bikes have heavy duty tubes fitted, ultra heavy duty are better but heavy duty will do.
We are leaving Corranbong at 6.30am saturday morning! Sorry but it has to be 6.30 because of the distance we have to cover, please dont be lateThis thread will be updated so keep checking it, all questions and requests to be added or have you name confirmed please use the other Corranbong to Hillend expressions of interest / 31stJan – 1st Feb thread
Everybody with standard size fuel tanks need to refuel twice from Jerry Cans carried by the support vehilce.
If we can get 8, 20 litre Jerry cans and people can buddy up and share a Jerry can we only have to carry 8 Jerry cans. Those that we know will have big tanks fitted are
Chicken 24L
Boulder 25L
TB 16.5LIs the anyone else?, if so let us know please, if you have a 20L Jerry can please bring it along and we will sort out the number we need and who can share them on the morning. Note leave Jerry can enpty, you can fill them at Yetholme, that way Moto has got to cart them all day full for no reason.
With a support vehilce to load and trailer etc to check ready on the morning can you please get to the starting point as early as possible.
Cheers and please keep checking this thread for updates
