Adam’s suggestion was that if it does not have spark it’s a 95% chance the stator has died as they are 100% rubbish. He probably has one in stock. $80-120 depending on the type.awesome! I’ll have to drop down tommorow and get one then. I’m guessing the starter is that little silver cylinder thingy that was near the green fuse. I’ll bring it in with me
oh and what are push rods???
It may pay to wait until we can be sure if its actually stator OG, better then paying for stuff not needed maybe? The stator is above the gear stick tip, the round cover see below, you will need a puller to get the flywheel cover off I reckon

I should have a puller for it, or will make one

Welcome Choot, seems to make a huge difference the modified one in in the ADV “X” one at the moment and shows no wear for all its use.

I think I stuffed my multimeter on it as it tells me the power in the house is 360volts AC.In the kids bike forum thats the rule  not here

Choot, you just need the actual cush hub. So pull the wheel, pull the cush hub out. Then take the sprocket off. Send the cush hub like that with the bearings in it to Tekniks and Nick will mod it, fit new bearings and seal, mod the centre boss and happy days

The tips and tricks route sheets were finished last night with me only launching the sheet chewing laminator once onto the back deck (POS!!)
They are different to the Nov 2012 ride in that they are only providing selective information on when you may want to zoom in etc. The Nov ride sheets meant that you could probably have completed the route without a GPS given the detail that was on the sheets. As everybody navigated without too many problems I figured a few tips will provide enough help for all you seasoned vets.I have two alternate routes if it rains hard and the two bigger creeks we have to cross are swollen. It doesn’t affect our route to much. For these to work if we get to much rain I will again ask that the first bikes don’t leave Mittagong before 7.30am (I know people will be excited  but it will give you all a chance to have a good breakfast and a coffee) I need to leave early with PTW to put a few safety markers out and check the first crossing. If the first crossing is up and we decide to bypass it you guys starting at 7.30 and later give PTW and I time to back track without fear of you nutters coming at us
. If the first crossing is ok we can then get to the only other crossing that I am worried about, again check it out. If it’s up we can again get back out without oncoming traffic or continue to the first fuel stop and have breakyThanks
