Your bike spends 99% of its life warm / hot you shouldn’t do adjustments or set mixtures for when its cold cause thats not where its ridden or rev’ed or supposed to operate.
Sounds like you have it sussed

October 2, 2012 at 12:32 pm in reply to: 2 day full Navigation ride 3rd and 4th of November from St Albans #230155itsORourke wrote:Real interested in one of your Navigational rides TB. What GPS do you recommend? Its only my opinion but I like the keep it simple stupid saying with my GPS’s. I run two if one fails I have another. I like simple electronic devices that do just navigation and have no interest in storing music or pictures on it. I use my Garmin CSX60 for storing my planned route it’s easy to follow and very accurate. I use it to check tracks or bypasses around obstacles. I have purchased software in it now.
I also store a simplified route (less way points) on my other GPS which is a Garmin Zumo 220. The 220 is also like your average car GPS, has a bigger screen and all the basic features that it’s bigger more expensive cousins have the 550 and 660. I use it when I need locate say fuel, nearest town or and point of interest. It has a more basic software in it and doesn’t always have all the back tracks but will always navigate a direction to the nearest road / track to get out of trouble.Short answer I use a Garmin 60CSX and Garmin Zumo 220 both hard wire.
I also own the more expensive ones I listed in a Zumo 550 the 220’s big brother and a CS62 the 60’s updated cousin but use the others
Hope that makes sense.

Best way in the sand down there prince
There is some wicked deep white sand on that track, the guy you see behind me on the Husky is a mate of Jason’s and is quick except when he got to the sand he couldn’t do sand. The dude was quick everywhere else but the sand was in his head it had his number :laugh:Looking forward to the Hattah weekend after next reckon it will produce a red hot video :woohoo:

micknmeld wrote:Well done for a first attempt! The rear facing footage gives a different perspective (although watching to much of it might make you feel a bit whoozy). I did notice the XR650 didn’t rate a mention! And how good did the big 750 sound!Ummm well its like this Mick the XR hasnt seen the light of day since the “Dejay knocks himself ride” as I have been either ADV riding or the pre APC rides on the 450 when we were getting it setup or using the Kato. The XR is also now under going a full rebuild / overhaul.
Will include some in the next one

That 750 not only sounds phat but goes, stops and turns really really well for a 1989 model yeah and is fast!

Accommodation is sorted, Dejay has booked flights for his rock star style ride weekend. Preparation of both KTM’s will be finished this week. I will be running the 530 with a 12.5 litre front tank and a 10 litre rear tank.
Dejay will have a 15 litre front and a small loop with 4 x 1 litre bottles to give him 19 litres. We have a 220 kms between fill ups on the way to Renmark and a little further on the way back on SundayI will have my spot on as of early Saturday morning if anyone is interested in following us on our desert trek

I was hoping a Victorian or 2 would have joined us on the sandy desert ride
