I have seen first hand with others here that some of the mags are as honest as Jillian Gillard

Ride them both for mine ;) Ask a few people the paid for theirs.

I would say you have owned Husky’s answered the biggest question for yourself about your dealer being good

I have been using the anti fog pads now since before Cape York and had NO fogging since. Seem a good thing run two in a camera. Got mine from Adventure Moto same price with OBT discount. The bulk bags of mounts and an extra couple of batteries was too easy to get this time and you made me do it Scott!!!.

Moto they must be out of stock of some of the GoPro things because the products fail to display for purchase where the batteries and others still do :S

I bought $100 bucks worth of GoPro stuff here yesterday and was cursing YOU last night Scott!

From experience the genuine honda ones last longer than aftermarket cheap arse ones. The genuine ones seem to be more rubber than the aftermarket ones if that helps.
BTW no matter which ones you fit it pays to pull them up every now and then and clean any crud out if there is any that is.

I just yesterday purchased a set of the full length neoprene ones for the new factory forks for my XR :woohoo:

Are they the neoprene style that fit tight to the fork leg? If so I would be worried about trapped grit scoring your sliders. They were popular on mountain bikes for about 5 minute a but ended up doing more damage than no boots at all.

    STM

That was my concern Scott as I had spoken to KTMrat once about him making me a set and and said the same thing about the crap under them. I emailed ol mate in the US where they are made and asked the same question, he said they had the problem with the earlier ones but these ones are sealed and he promised they are a good thing. For the price I figured they were worth a try and would keep a real close eye on them. The only question I have now but hadnt asked was if they are sealed how do they not blow up like Snowy’s blow goat when the forks are compressed?

    Thanks for the heads up

Hell yeah it is mate well and truly. Should have been run in after about 80kms depending which way of the 2354 correct and only ways you choose to run it in. Us mechanics do it different to one another. Running in is a personal choice there are wife’s tails and kids stories about factories doing this and that and running different oils and all sorts of things from people that haven’t seen it or been there (myself included) there are theories from people in all walks of life that have an idea from butchers, bakers and candle stick makers but honestly it’s a personal thing, but your past that so, ride it now like you always will. Change your oil regularly 500kms or 10hrs on the 450 I reckon personally and enjoy it ;)

No shit! I had no idea! Where does the tooth fairy get the time? What with all the kids teeth and all that small change …..

All the small change is used to do top end rebuilds and shim the valves  doesn’t have time because she is doing oil and filters all the time :P

Been tops Big fella, yeah been on the road more than dirt, and concentrating on getting my old railways cottage reno’d.
Biut neva fear there is a real life project with the YZ and a alloy WrF and an engineer, hopefully I can build a new YZwr….

Sounds like an awesome idea and project can’t wait to see it.  Where is the railway cottage? I will call in one day soon I promise, I flew last time and I hate flying! I love Lismore and the surrounding area. Kids still riding?

Listen mate I just read the link you posted. Honestly Bruce old cheese that’s the most biased bullshit I have ever read. It comes from a dedicated two stroke web site for gods sake! I would say a one eyed two stroke lover to boot! I won’t argue regarding costs of rebuilds etc but for christs sake I can’t take that article seriously, there is more conspiracy in that than the death of JFK, Elvis, Area 51 and man visiting the moon all rolled into one!
If I pasted the same argument ( reversed of course) from a four stoke site towards two stokes you would be rolling on the ground like I am at the moment, seriously take the two stroke glasses of and read it open mined style. Remember I haven’t bought into the whole four stroke is better the two stroke etc or the other way around debate here at all, nor will I. Each is to there own, I won’t buy into what they cost or where they should race, but that piece of literature (loose term) is a joke in my humble opinion.

Well that’s how I remember it, and l reckon their best trick was pretending nothing untoward happened, thus pulling the wool over the masses eyes

Oh shit sorry I didnt know it was on the internet  it must be true then. I will now withdraw from this debate and go and read wikipedia cause that’s on the net and true as well

On another note how are you Bruce? Have you been roading more than dirting lately mate? Was only thinking about you last week when I was following an immaculate WR250 smoker on a trailer up the M7, this thing was like it had just rolled out of the show room. I remember thinking Gees Bruce would have stuck my glove box closed had he been here

Fact- old mr SHonda had a philosphy of fourstroke, it was his personal and business model preference, go back to the early 80s, oval piston GPs bikes, twin rods, monstrosities, but still he persisited. Then in the late nineties yamaha used road and F1 technology to build the YZ400F rev monster, the FIM was lobbied by primarily Honda threatening to pull out of all sanctioned events, the old foggies at FIM and AMA took a dive and aquiesed to the pressure and the rule were dictated by Honda mainly so power and capacity advantages were blatantly in favour of the 4T.

a little push marketing and violia the market follows.

now go and adjust your valves and change the oil and filter lads.

BTW 4Ts should make noises like THUMP THUMP THUMP Not Whizz Scream Wirr crunch.

    and they are both fun.

Wont disagree regarding Hondas four stroke development in the early 80’s exciting developments ;)

But as far as one bike producer changing the world
