That’s strange I could unwind while the preload of the spring was against it  I forgot to tighten mine once before the Hampton 100 weekend ride all weekend and all that happened was the lock nut vibrated to the top the main load carrying but hadn’t moved one mm when checked. Low rider XR
Preload is easy to do yourself next to a bench with a small cable tie, tape measure and a black marker

We actually closed the option of attaching photos to the site on the old site months ago I wasn’t aware the option was available again. It is better for us the site that is if you use photobucket.

Nothing but CT20 and some elbow grease does my cleaning just fine
They are easy to clean when you don’t go in the dirt

No need for a

EAGLE`02 wrote:Anyone going interested in a room with Queen Bed ???I have one booked at the Appsley Arms but can let it go , there are no more pub rooms in town that weekend, just spots on the grass at the Caravan Park.
PM me if interested in the next week, if not I might put it up for grabs on ADV or ORE and it should go quick
Otherwise I will just ring the Pub and it`s first in best dressed :whistle:Cheers
You out Eags?
Scotty wrote:Great find Scott, you may have read Colebatch’s report a while ago on ADV rider when he did the BAM road and they crossed that bridge. They walked their bikes and a huge storm hit with massive winds while one of the guys was halfway across  One of the best ride reports I have ever read and inspired me to plan my Russian ride in 4 years time that I have started planning.

I have a Karcher had it for about 6 years, purchased it after using all sorts of washers over the years with work on trucks. It has been everywhere and hasnt had a scrap of love. The handle is broken and was backed over by the trailer in the driveway one night returning from a ride  . It still works as well as the day I bought it.

Will pull water from a bucket if need be (water restrictions and on site at a race meeting
) Couple of attachements, cheap from Bunnings and they are serviceable check because a lot of brands arent. Was cheap around $150 – $170 I think. Note-It isnt the exact model in the picture but is closeTB

Bike shops sell grip glue not those thieving pricks at westerns but Suttos or the likes. I use it or spray paint grip glue is better and the way to remove it is you warm the grip with a heat gun or hair dryer. Don’t use the glue Suzuki fit their grips on the DRs with but it’s wicked stuff (don’t think you can buy it anyway  )
Petrol is popular but I have experienced the rubber swelling. Always wire if you ride in the rain or mudTB
micknmeld wrote:Hey TB, you forgot to mention, your first ride with the Motard wheels. You know the one, where you freaked the lady out when you went through her paling fence!
Oh yeah thansk for that
Lesson 101 for dicksheads like me, dont motard with a newly reconstructed shoulder at Glenbrook on a dead end (I didnt know it was a dead end :pinch: ) road in the rain with almost slick tyres. You end up in the fence when you run out of road and you dont want to crash because of said shoulder reconstruction still healing
Cost me a few palings and an hour fixing it afterwards, nice old lady

A lot of guys racing just use their moto cross bike. Put a lowering link in the back, run the forks thru the clamps as far as you can, harden the compression and happy days. Factoryphil is the guy to ask he placed 6th I think in his class in the Aussie championship a few years ago and that’s all he did all series. He used the bike one week in motocross and the next week motard etc. Actually he didn’t even change his rear link sometimes because he is slack :laugh
I have been with Crash to a track day with FPhil, and a few meetings with him its exciting and great to watch the racing, pit action and setup as well. Mal5.1 has done track days and he helped me with my setup. I only slowed down my rebound, harden my compression and ran the forks thru the clamps, didn’t touch the rear height. Like Moto wrote the guns change a lot, one I know off have their headsets cut of the frame and angle adjusted and welded back on, the engine mounts cut off and the engine positioned lower in the frame, have seen it. (Didn’t win him a title but, that year guy with a much more standard setup compared to him won it)That said I reckon buy a set of wheels and cut sic, I had just started to back mine in (a bit) and had freaked Micknmeld out over the bluetooth when I did it heading to Gingers once when smoke started coming of the rear as I backed it into the corner  :woohoo:
I have recently discussed with Mal and Crash about doing a motard ride or even a track day, umm maybe a plan forming
