    Hey lads
I have the XL running with new battery& regulator rectifier, nice stable 7.5VDC @ battery.
However Headlight is supplied from its own coil with no regulator/rectifier via yellow/wite wire.
The output from this circuit is 16 to 40VAC depending on RPM.
It simply blows every bulb I put near it any ideas???????????????.
    Cheers

It has to have a rectifier and regulator to convert it from AC to DC and then regulate it to the desired voltage. Above you say it has a DC battery and a its putting out an AC voltage so that needs to be fixed first

    edit

Ollie posted the diagram and you can see the rectifier / regulator in the picture, check your wiring and bike out now

Yep I can see both points of view. the majority of sales of bikes goes to Plonkers like us  who really are probably better off on a 4T. When a 2T shits itself maybe $1500 to rebuild ? If a 4T goes big well the dollars are twice that amount. With the reduced emissions of the new 2T’s I cant see nothing but a rosey future for the 2T and the slow demise of those god awful smelly loud 4 strokes

    Just my opinion B)

PS that GG 300 is very very Noice !

    Ollie

Blah Blah Blah  That doesnt answer my question to your statement that was “One day the japs will realise the way of the future is the 2T ” How does that dribble answer my question mate :P

Glad to see him back on the bike, he certainly is a tough cookie.

Hey don’t knock stalking until you have tried it  Factoryphil, Chicken and I spent two weeks at Alice in 2008 as official Honda factory race team members (drove trucks, looked after customer race bikes, drank piss etc :P ) and I am sure I speak for the other two when I say you won’t find two more down to earth, fun, honest, tough guys then Ben and Damien Grabham. They are champions

What do you mean by the 3 year bracket TB? As in no use after 3 years?

Your fluoro one will keep you safe from hunters in State Forests!

Yeah the shells have life can’t remember if it’s 2 or 3 years but it’s three for me. I like the fluoro one but I havent bought a helmet for 6 months so I better get another :P What’s wrong with having 9 helmets anyway, I gave three away ;)

    Ollie

How is a two stroke the way of the future? Or even a 4 stroke? Ummm you would think the money making marketing giants like Yamaha, Honda etc that are into EVERYTHING already that makes them money would be into producing a two stroke if there was really major market demand. Think about it honestly, they have the technology (it hasn’t changed since they stopped or since JC played fullback for Jerusalm) Maybe a it’s a small niche market that is already covered by the 5 odd euro makers that are covering it? I can’t help but think if there was a true demand they would be into it. Pride doesn’t pay the bills and they are only in it for coin don’t kid yourself the Japs have back flipped on everything over the years.

    Just my thoughts

Or is it a conspiracy
