Gday Tb,What sort of gps on the cheep side would you recomend(as im a tight ass).
Could you just use your paired partners unit if you stayed together.,Yours sounds like a riper Kram,my kind of gps,
Also would the ride suit vsss or xr big tank.

    cheers Toes

Actually Kram sent me the spec sheet on his new GPS and it can’t have routes loaded on it, sorry Kram :pinch:
Any hand held Garmin Toes a CSX60 if you find one on eBay or a 62

Shared GPS doesn’t work when your paired partner breaks down pulls out or his fails, nah keep it simple no GPS no ride no hassles no worries no confusion

Vee Strom would get it done in your hands

Wow, that’s a good price. I might have to buy a spare :D

Don’t know about the tyre? It was someone who owns a shop or something, don’t think it was the APC Rally guy. He was relatively outspoken at most of the auctions. Ahhhh, it was Mal who introduced me, not you, I remember now, I’ll PM Mal and ask.

You need to PM 1inarrow (Garth) Bloody nice guy and good at what he does. I had my car into his shop this Monday gone and he fitted 4 new black round hoops to it happy days

My fork just arrived minus the bleeder valve and about 200ml of oil ( poor packaging has caused it to break off in the thread) :pinch: :pinch:
Teknik promised me they could fix it and get it here in time but it will be very very close.

Ev if time is a problem (sounds like it is) maybe you can talk with Nick and you just remove the broken piece of bleeder, turn the leg upside down and drain the oil completely. Get Nick to send you the new bleeder and the amount of oil etc required. You can fit the bleeder and fill the leg. That saves you at least a freight leg. Just thinking :)

With regards to the poor packaging are you sure it wasnt a poor freight handling? Tekniks would send 5 sets of forks a day for 6 years from what I have seen surely they would have it down pat  I would hope anyway

Hope you get it sorted mate

TB, I would like to join this on the new DR. Will need to discuss the fuel part as I have no idea what the pig will do on a std tank. I do have a bladder though.

    Gaz

Umm Gaz I don’t think a standard tanked DR650 and a 10 litre bladder would be enough mate  you not fitting a bigger tank? Remember is 350 plus

You will need a GPS and hard wiring to make it reliable and a way to carry your camping gear ;) Plenty of time to get your stuff together anyway, I posted it early to give peeps time to get organised because off the type of ride it is.

$20 for 5 adhesive mounts and 5 tether straps, cheap at twice the price.

You could even use all 5 at once for extra security :D

Yeah it’s cheap compared to a new GoPro :pinch:

If I rode like you I would use all 5

Go pro sell a tether kit here

That said I use a couple of cable ties to tether mine  I had thought of getting Mick to make me one from his fishing kit

I am going to order a tether kit from ADV Moto actually as it will look better than my cable tie one

Are you camping Pete? Jeffro I think DJ maybe out as well due to medical reasons

Is anyone camping as I am thinking I may finish the Saturday first day with the APC crew between Gloucester and Gingers Creek. Then slab it to Stockton and launch the Tenere over the dunes to camp and drink with the campers.

Other options are I may finish wherever and go to Wauchope, stay with the APC crew or ride home

    So who is doing what?
