any new enduro bike is going to feel nice to ride compared to an XR, can’t believe you haven’t got a CRF450X yet

Ummm yeah your right about the CRF LC, I guess I have been putting my money elsewhere (adventure bikes) of late that will change soon enough because there is nothing else I can buy for it  I have been think about buying another bike soon enough, but the XR will stay forever B)

It will be different and I am looking forward to testing it, its almost new (couple hundred kms on it) its a 2011 model and well setup

The headlight is shit Galey  mate if its the light well I will see. The bike has had the whole Teknik thing done for around my weight, it has a rekulse, oil cooler and a steering damper. It should be a good fair full test, couple of good honest days riding should be fair enough I reckon

Rumours are hot here in the chicken pen that a well known euro trash hater is taking a 530 for a test ride because its the right price and has a
Button instead of a 50kg leg
    Can you guess ??????????

Chicken, trust you with nothing ever again :pinch: Price I cant really comment on except to say any money for euro trash is too much  electric start has nothing to do with it I dont stall my bike ;)

It had been discussed many times before, even the idea of ADV touring on a 990

Eags I have seen the light with regards to a 990 mate, I have a great adventure bike that is better for the adventure riding style I do and its a Tenere 660. A 950 maybe but they dont make them anymore eh

Touching the sides  but remember the tyre is in between and you cant see that. I am sure mine is a 2.5 and there are no marks on the rim to say its ever touched the rim whe tightened. I do my own tyres and would have seen the marks if there were any. As I type this I know I have seen the marks in the beads of the tyres where the rim lock has bitten into them. I am changing another rear tomorrow or on the weekend and will measure it then and take some photos, good luck :)

Tb just wondering if you have Riom locks fitted to your Tenere if so what size is the back one. The mrchanic is telling me he can not get a big enough rim lock for the rear ( i find that hard to believe)
    Thanks Andre

Yeah I have one, its a large size standard rim lock. The size is a 2.5 from memory or could be a 2.75 the bike shop should have both and will be able to size them up. I am nearly 100% sure mine is a 2.5, I only fitted a rim lock after covering 32,000kms and only fitted it then because I wanted to be able to drop the pressures really low for the desert. I would go on record saying that for normal use and pressures it itsn’tt required. I tear tyres up more than most it seems and I never spun I tube on the rear (either has Nick and he wears tyres out almost as quickly as me)
Anyway the rims lock looks like the below

    reifenhalter_z1.jpg

I have installed it four spokes from the valve, a little harder to balance but easier to change tyres the way I do them

PS Hey if you get stuck Sutto’s have them in stock I was just talking with Scotty

bugger, to late. I brought the set off ebay. having trouble fitting them…… had to enlage radiator frame hole to get mounting bolts to line up!!!! I might chuck them back up on ebay. I’ll check the PWR radiators out.

Only mentioned it because I have heard of two of them splitting. There are some slightly cheaper ones in the states, or a set of Fluidynes (spelling) from the states. Crash had fitted PWRs to his before me, the quaility of the PWRs sold me

That left hand radiator is rooted  If you buy radiators by chance watch the cheap ones from ebay as they are made from thin shit alloy. I bought a set of PWRs, they arent cheap for sure but nice well made gear.

Take a close up of the frame, sure it will be OK

Nick (Teknik’s) does mod the seal head in the rear shock that increases the shock stroke awesome rear shock once done. Ring Nick back and tell him you are an old bull and TB sent you, ask for a price with OBT discount ;)

Picture of the frame damage would be helpful
