I think the other bike specific one is a fair bit betterI think you will find they are identical just not waterproof… Has the latest Whereis on it.. Its the Maps that matter in the end imo..
I havent seen one of the new ones in the flesh Krusty but from talking to Boulder as he was trying to mount his they sound different. Also if they are selling a water proof case they have to be different cause last years (same as I use are water proof, I tested it  ) Also my understanding they look pretty different if my info is correct
Last years

New (as I understand) and needs water proof cover

I was told last years was bike designed this one not so much

I was a bit surprised to see it there too, just wanted to bring it to attention, knew you would have the lowdown…….the GPS units are apparently rippers, another old fart I know (adv rider) has had one for a few years and swaers by it…
The older GPSs are better the new ones arent water proof thats why they need the cover. last years are great have all sorts of tracks and am always amazed when down the back of bunF%*k on a old overgrown logging track that is single line and over grown, hasnt seen traffic for years and its on the Aldi
Sorry you feel that ADV is for old farts Bruce, I thought you were more open mined

I fully and whole heartedly agree with supporting the local shop when I can and am able. But that ramp looks exactley the same as the one I saw in at Sutto’s last week.
Also of note is that Aldi is also supporting one of our sponsors and good on Aldi and the sponsor http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_18690.htm A large proportion of Aldi products is actually aussie sourced. Of all the products I have purchased from them I can only think of a couple of things that I am not real happy with. Its your decision if you like the product and the price is good go for it. If you want to pay 40 % more for the exact same product thats your decision and your money. Thanks to whoever raised the thread (its been moderated) to let other people know what is out there.
Tell me these are not the same product with a different label
Ollie
I agree with everything you wrote 100%
With your examples but mate the quailty of the sockets is the difference in those kits I actually have both kits and can take pictures off the quailty differences. The cheaper ones the sockets distort the 8mm one has. Honestly mate I know where you are coming from but there is a real quailty difference in the above examples. Out on the trail a simple fix can go pear shaped with a bad socket.
You can see in the photos they are different sockets, different finish etc but I take your point mate about somethings

The ramp our sponsors sell would be far better quailty then the Aldi one of course I have a whipps one and it is so strong.Talking about Ramps, I need one for my 330 odd KG Hog. The whips ramps are good for approx 225kg I think. Any suggestions ?
Ring Whipps mate they will have a ramp or will make one. They make ramps for machinery as well mate they will have it covered
