CRFs require above average service care Aaron true as a Honda nut it pains me to say. I know of a CRF450 with over 400 hrs on it and never had the valves replaced but the guy as a very special way that he does his filters that works. Mick and I know of a CRF150 with I think it was 350 hrs the same. I know of many a CRF that has had the valves replaced under 50 hrs. It is air filter related, I was told at GHR once that their motard bikes would do a seasons racing and practice and the valves wouldn’t move (no dust) and they get the guts rev’ed out of them. Yet one dusty two day enduro and they may have the reshim.

I don’t think its as bad as it used to be on older models. You are right about the industrial engine eh can’t kill them with a stick

Thats a real good looking thing Nick nice job. I am getting some more plugs tomorrow for the new style connectors

Thanks for taking the time to do a DIY as the view counters show people read them, now we just need more people to do some to increase the DIY library

Congrats DJ I was in at work last Tuesday before I went to Melbourme but couldn’t find you. I am on holidays next week but will catch up soon.
Sorry you bought a KTM but at least Suttos looked after you with the Rekulse and the gear. Will take you out for a ride not next weekend but the one after if you want.

If you can compress the tyre more than half way with your hand put some in  :pinch: B)

That’s the smartest post and so true. If you feel the rim hitting put some air in or slow down for the rocky bits, I mean we aren’t racing for the Aussie title so an extra couple of pounds and no flats makes for a better ride doesn’t it?

On the blacktop well and truly. The Dakar just eats up the k’s and is very comfy. Not many cars and the speed limit seems to be whatever your comfortable with. Tyres still in great shape. Done 2700km now and they are still 95% IMO.
    Judge for yourself.

Told you they were a good thing, honestly no one gives me tyres or anything really for that matter so if I try something and it’s shit I will say so ! That why I love reading bulls thoughts on products they have paid for I think it’s a little more honest.
The rear gripped as well as Nicks 606, be interested in your thoughts on the front Trev as I haven’t used one yet

Try a Michelin M3 front, use the Michelin ultra heavy duty tubes heaps better than the Vee Co, heaps better.
Or try a Geo max 51 Dunlop maybe or a Pirelli extra front as a second choice.

Ask Scott at Sutto’s to get the two different tubes out of the boxes and compare for yourself the difference ;) the M3 will wear good and last
