Good read Lotsa but doesnt explain what happen to the DR why its broke
What was the longest distance you did between fuel stops because you wanted a 600 km range on the pre ride thread. How did Try Hard carry enough for 600km?

Mick people have time to do these rides cause they tell their other half and go not the other way around maybe???? I think its that and you just have to make time, if you dont you could end up like Mal from Suttos with 6 months to live and I would hate to have regrets, thats just my take on it anyway. You do get asked and I have bent over backwards to try and accommodate you for last years Camerons even offering to pull parts of my XR for you to use. Come along one day I know you will love it :) bring the mighty NX on one like the one in Aug starts up the coast and you only need two days off you have just about everything you need and could travel to the start with Moose and Kram

As all going are aware the start for this ride is Lighting Ride, plan is to meet there on Saturday afternoon (the 8th) where you will need to organise your accommodation for that night. .

There are two groups riding to the start ,they are Mickp’s group leaving from the central coast area on Friday the 7th for a two day ride to Lightning Ridge for the start.

The other group will be starting from Grafton on saturday the 8th riding around 750km in total on mainly dirt roads we estimate 12-13 hours in the saddle to Lighting Ridge for the afternoon meet up.

From there it is one group on our route to the end, a route that will be able to be done by one and all going no more split groups

It all comes down to what tubes do you use I reckon from experience

Ultra heavy duty Bridgestone or Michelin tubes you can run down as low as 8 to 10psi. Great traction but you can dent your rims. Always run a little more in your front as a rule (they seem to suffer more pinch flats and dents)
If you run standard tubes run 16 to 18 and you deserve any flat you get IMO sorry

Recent birthday ride 55 bikes only two flats and both standard tubes. One tore out valve on a UHD cause the rim lock was loose and spun the tube. That says it all I reckon

Unfortunately KTM have put a rubber seal below the inner race of the bearing. ;)
This could either keep water out or keep it in.

I think they have all the seal under the bearing all bikes I have done have anyway.
The cooling of the tube and heating of the bearing cone allows it to fall of without damaging the seal :) Use a heat gun

If you plug one end of the tube remove the gage and rollers. Heat the bearing cone with a heat gun, fill the tube with ice water quickly, top off the heat on the bearing cone and one tap and it almost falls off, nothing damaged
