I grew up on a peach farm so of course we had tractors etc all the farm stuff as such. The packing shed had a drive through door system that sloped away on the exit. If you came around the blind corner hard enough on your MR50 you could after screaming through the shed get some air when exiting said shed. Now of course I was repeatly told not to do ride through the shed. One afternoon I came around the corner full tilt and ran straight into the back of the tractors 3 point linkages

Is that funny well no, now for me the funny part is I did it again 2 months later and staright into the same tractor in the same spot on my RM60!!

Dad put a new barbed wire fence across a track used, he told me about it and actually took me down and showed me the new fence. Two evenings later I ran straight into it and got 8 stitches! That fence actually got me twice but thats another story

Mick I retract my comment before, it seems when I sit and remember I to was a slow learner :P

Nothing wrong with those tires Alan but if your insisting on new ones I’ll give you $10 for the old Dunlops. With 60 riders I somehow don’t think brakes will wear out either….

The 60 odd will only be for the first two hours or there abouts of the saturday. Have you been keeping up with the updates on the first page? You will be riding in smaller groups off different grades after we get to the new camping area for the remainder of Saturday and Sunday morning before we start the conga line back to Hampton

Clearly the work of a Harley mechanic?

Not so sure about that Ross. That would also involve a six inch nail as well.

So I am now looking for an output shaft for a 1200cc Harley.

How is the belt drive pulley normally retained Mick? Are you sure there arent other options like the end of the shaft drilled in place and threaded. You could then retain it with a plate washer style setup like other bikes have ;) Could be worth exploring your options before getting someone to help you pull it all down

Are you putting it back the the factory belt drive system they have?

What a good ride it had it all. Krusty and I did the single from the pines at the Watagans that run parallel to the main dirt road, that was on the Tenere which included a log crossing

We meet Nick, then Peter the Wolf turned up then Lotsa, Gavb, Jeffro and Mickp

    P5150259.jpg

Then Murph and his merry men turned up :) after some quick hellos we departed as we had some miles to do. We rode up towards l
Killingworth using the tracks that we used on the Dr Jurds ride some years back the same ones that wore one of our single track guns out that ride ;)

We did the lot as PTW and others will vouch. We left PTW at the Oak servo and took a track that lead us to the same one we used on the Jurds ride again where Damus broke something ( leg?, arm? Can’t remember sorry ) and Boony went over the bars on the down hill if memory serves me

We rode the Teneres through it all, Nick had a little lay down but it was nothing

    With very little hassle

Once we got into the Watagans we hot footed for Laguna as we wanted to run Yengo before dark. Krusty bailed and we ran non stop until Nick started having a few moments that turned out to be a problem with his back brake. A stick had jammed it on and every time he backed of it locked up after 3 kilometres he stopped and here is what was going on

We got out to the Putty and blasted off for a special track up there we looked into

It was well dark when we got home

    Thanks to this that attended

Well said Gaz. It was an emotional day the biggest I have ever been to, getting up and delivering the speech that Mal had written for me to read had me in a panic. Salina kept telling me talk slow and clearly  I was doing alright until the two young girls got up, they were incredible but there wasnt a dry eye in the place with Brett’s farewell speech eh?

The people there didn’t surprise me know what a person he was

    Won’t forget you mate R.I.P.
