    Welcome to OBT Tony.
You will meet plenty of good blokes and get to go on some great rides.
The log o f knowledge solves all the worlds problems until you wake up with even more questions. Questions like why is my sleeping bag torn, how did Ollie turn into a giant “farmers friend” and where is my other shoe?

    Enjoy
    STM

And will STM reallydo his aqua bog in the frozen river

Yeah Kat I have ran out of fuel and waited for the support vehicle to turn up only to find the taps turned the wrong way. I ran out of fuel a couple years ago with Salina on the back of the NX in the blue mountains. Worse was she had been banging on all day about not having a fuel gauge, me saying don’t worry let it go I have been riding bikes for years without a fuel gauge  Then two hours later I ran out of fuel  Even posted it in my ride report Mick so stop your crying :P

I once drove to a blokes place with factoryphil as his CRF wouldn’t start he had melted the leads off the battery cranking and using jumper leads, the fuel was off

Ask Crash about the holeshot he got at years ago only to stop at the 2nd corner cause the fuel was off  He has never forgiven me as he reckons it was my fault, we were team mates on the one bike why would I turn the fuel off

I don’t understand how the crap got into the right jets to stop the engine dead rather than run rough. Then all of it comes out to start and run without a problem? never seen it before eh?

Just make sure it’s fixed before Sofala birthday ride mate. I hate problems with no answer

And stop being so sensitive :P hell you published my blunder in the local paper and Gittoes in the boof head of the week

The only emarrassment they would be experiencing would be from, being silly enough to confide in you about the incident in the first place, I would suggest.

Since working out for myself who it was, your rendition of events are a little off the mark TB.

Well as you have stated before I have a good memory and as has been told to me I I can only think it had the fuel off easy mistake we have all made it.
It was claimed they wiggled the plug cap but really why would it go 30 metres then stop  really come on

Every other thing I will defend based upon what was told to me if you wish to debate it may the person in question if they are embarrassed should fess up. I have fessed up to my f&$k ups like cracking my sump plug etc we all do, maybe he should stop throwing boggie clues  And smoke screens

Jeffro there are so many clues given in the thread including a ripper in my previous post I can’t credit he told me, is such a good story it should be in the newspaper I reckon :cheer:

He won’t come clean but eh, the fuel had to be off and he is embarrassed I reckon

Well it appears that even though the bike pusher is following the thread as such and laughing but he won’t fess up. Oh the shame in pushing your bike home after you run out of fuel or have the fuel switched off as it must be in this case. Why else would it start ( he isn’t known for warming bikes up ) and run for 30 odd metres being his drive way and the 20 down the street, the backfire would be the engine leaning out as it ran out of fuel  he would run further on a swig of fuel.

Embarrassed now I reckon more than shame :P

It appears Pea Heart maybe a little hard cause the cry baby just spoke with me and said so :pinch:
So it here is my heartfelt apology saying that Pea heart while only really trying to draw the person out of hiding was maybe a little hard  I am sorry for calling the cry baby a pea heart I truly am :( Please accept my apology again :)
Even if he said “it was only 20m from home any further and I would have rang for the trailer” that doesn’t mean he is a pea heart people ok back off

Remember I only posted this because it was a scoop that I posted because I was a quiet news day here

    A sorry TB

Dang it!!!! I thought I had it, until I read your last post TB. The bloke I was thinking of, has a big heart and would definatley get his bike home no matter what.

No No mate pea heart if I have ever seen one  . Seen him work on his bike, just gives up and heard him say more than once thought he was going to have a heart attack when the going got tough. Seen him just sit on his bike while other people come and push him up the hill ;)

Well can’t be someone that is all that mechanically smart because he couldn’t fix it, it fixed itself of sorts
Must be someone lazy / casual because when it started he shrugged his shoulders and just rode it without looking why it stopped  It might do it again
Must be someone with more money than sense because he rides his bike to the car wash and pays money to clean it :S maybe someone does it while he has a smoke
It’s someone that could be witnessed doing such things otherwise how would I know
