Pfft, what for? Do you still crank start your car? Oh thats right your from Warchoppy, you probably do.
   Owned
Not owed at all……

I dont have to clutch start my bike in some greasy red clay gully when the starter motor or battery decides to pack it in. That is being owned.
Electricals on the DRZ are not their strong point, is all I was saying. A point proven several times here on the site and on the trails.Nah wink all you want Mayor you got owned
On a serious note for all the DRs I have ridden with (miles covered) and its a lot I have only ever seen one fail to start and need to be push started which makes it pretty small odds espically compared against other brands and failures that had kick starters and it was starter fault not the battery. For the amount of DRs out there their electrics are no worse than the kill switch on a Kato for example, and remember a DRs system is designed to be the primary (and only starter) wheres 99% of other enduro bike starters are listed as a 2ndary fast start. Read your manuals

Will talk in June when I post a date it’s good eh Rocket

Boony and Snowy I am running in June a weekend of singles in Orange. The tracks are proper singles lots of endless 2nd gear riding for two days. Pine forests and Australian natural bush. Numbers will be limited because it will be at pace. There will be a short transport of 7 kms to get into the forest if that’s too adventure for you, you can transport your bike to and from the forest
Grade 4 at grade 4 pace right up your alley I mean it will be lead by an adventure rider, me :laugh:Rocket will be able to recommend the Mullion creek forest I think and July will be cool say 4 to 8 degrees so you won’t overheat
More later

100% right I thought you guys got treated a little rough over there. And you are so right you are doing it, taking the time and making the effort I know what it’s like to organise a big ride (not as big as yours) and how quickly people that have no idea or can’t be bothered or just plain jealous will cut it down
Good luck as a fellow Tenere rider and adventure rider I will be following with interest

micknmeld wrote:First mod……..a kickstarter.Nah bash plate, radiator guards first, can always push start it with a flat battery, not always easy granted but can’t do shit in the bush with a holed crankcase or radiator flapping in the breeze
sure you can patch them sometimes but a push or battery swap from another bike is easier by comparison :laugh:I reckon get your suspension done properly with a DR is a hot ticket Boulder, Scotty and Nickj have all raved about the difference when their suspension was done on their DRs that seems to be the best mod with them

I ran a MT21 front on the Camerons ride last year Mick, it did 3900 kms and was rooted but I should have turned it you did and it would have done more. It went well on the corner ride
The 606’s go well and the Dunlop 907 I have on now grips unreal but it won’t do the miles if you put it on the bitumen but is fantastic on dirt
