From the massive Teknik Yamba weekend
Nick early Saturday morning pressure washing Chris t’s bike getting it ready to be stripped it was the first bike done

Next was Garry’s 530 getting the full treatment while Chris t repairs  crash damage from one of his crashes the days before

Nickj was a man on a mission all weekend. He kept everybody feed and happy and with a crew we had there that was no easy job. Nickj cooked all weekend and looked after everyone, he made sure those staying where soughted and had everything they needed, cheers Nick
Here he is again looking like he is lost but would have been doing something for somebody no doubt

The Teknik’s van with Nick and Evil Rudy

More bikes and the DR in the back ground is a new purchase by a Old Bull, I had the job of looking it over pre purchase for him, it’s a 2005 that he got for a steal

More bikesÂ

Nick’s Ten got the full treatment

More later
Cheers TB
Is the clutch disengaging properly EV. If you warm the bike up and turn it of and put it in 2nd gear can you push it? I doubt it from what you are saying.
I would be checking the adjustment, if that’s ok I would be popping the clutch out checking the plate thickness, the steel plates arent warped and the fingers on the basket aren’t notched

What’s Nick doing here

I say this because organisers have the inherant responsibility of the safety of the riders, like the captain of a ship is responsible for the safety of all those on his ship, I feel the same applies for trail rides in the bush as we have similar remoteness to consider.Just another 20 cents worth.
Beemer.
That’s very true on a paid ride WB, but a ride I organise I will make sure it’s safe as can be for me and any one else who is following but you are choosing to follow me of your own free will, I will help but am not responsible for you and your actions.
That’s the way it is for any OBT ride run, the person twisting the throttle is responsible no body else

Sounds great WB all except the part about riding a BMW  I will watch with interest mate good on you and good luck with it.

I will try and get hold of Chris, I know he has a set of KTM pegz in stock and he can get sets at a better price, leave it with me mate

February 23, 2011 at 9:45 am in reply to: what to take on rides and what do the organisers provide? #197236A well prepared bike is the go. Heavy duty tubes fitted, carry a spare front tube (doesnt need to be a heavy duty, a front can be put in the back) A new spare spark plug and plug spanner a new joining link that fits your chain. Couple of spanners 8, 10, 12, 14 and a something normally a spanner that un does the front and rear wheel nuts. Two tyre levers and a pump.
Most of the time on the bigger rides someone will have all the tools you don’t, but you need to carry a tube, spark plug and a joining link for your bike as they are spares for your bike. If they do help you remember to buy them a beer later.
You can’t have everything straight away but you can be prepared as best as possible I think is the key
The link is to what could be in a bumbag and more

axel wrote:By the sounds of it the castle nut wound so far up the stub axle the split pin was too far from the nut. The nut then unwound itself to meet the split pin to the point where the wheel was loose. I guess the vibrations would have annoyed you enough to stop before the hub broke off. That’s what I figured Axel but couldn’t work out who would put it together like that or had something been left out otherwise it would have been like that before it was pulled apart.
Judging by Boony’s last reply  I wouldn’t follow the trailer
