Quote:Circlip is good. Leant a good trick with circlips during the week, as they are punched out, there is a sharp side and a rounded side. The sharp side goes to the outside against the load as opposed against the sprocket (which I was inclined to do  ) Spose you all knew that. I had never given it a thought. I am still running the old chain, it is free of any kinks and looks OK. I will be replacing the whole kit and kaboodle soon when finances allow. As you know I have another debt to settle before anymore money gets spent on the kids bikes.
I am sorry I never mentioned the circlip twist and sharp side mate as you were in the trade many moons ago I thought it was a given  Did you do the salastic thing? At least you gave it a good go over it makes me shutter thinging about it

Quote:The KX’s are ready to go.Have you fitted a new circlip (salastic) and chain to Conner’s bike after the big jam the chain incident like you said that chain would be rooted after that. Like you I cant credit how it would twist and jam into such a small area   .

Front Michy AC10 and UH Duty tube..
Rear Bridgy E78 and UH Duty tube..
New chain (Sprokets were just done a ride ago)
New rear spring
Checked and lubed up swing Arm linkages..
Fixed striped bolt for Front sprocket cover and then replaced with a B&B case saver..
Added new updated B&B rear rack..
Rear Brake Pads..
Cleaned and oiled Air Filter..While tightening and adjusting spokes I broke a rear spoke.. There were 5 or 6 pretty crappy spokes which seemed to be a bit rusted up.. My mission for the week is to get a new set and TB will lace them up Friday.. Then we can go for a quick squirt to get a feel with everything loaded up..
Left to do now..
Oil and Filter
Front Brake Pads
12v socket
Mount bags and packWill try and post pics of the final setup this week… Just not enough time in the day as Krusty is going to be cutting it close….
Oh and I seen Suttos today and got a 3 liter Camelback HAWG and new FOX Pants.. Got to love Suttos..
Gota say Krusty considering we didnt start till after lunch and I wrestled that f*#kin ED78 on and of 4 times I am rooted. You left out I pinched a heavy duty tube today  but ripped through everything else. Will relace the wheel friday yes get onto Mal tuesday

Do you want to cut some tar out between Tarana and O’Connell TB?
Turn left at Tarana onto Hazelgrove Rd and then right onto Carlwood Rd. It’s all wide hard pack dirt to O’Connell.
Cheers Mal, you da man
Thanks will do, maybe you could meet us and lead us through there  :laugh:TB
