Here are a couple of video clips and photos taken from the train, its some of the track we will travel into Broken Hill between Broken Hill and Menindee anyway. The photos and clips arent that good but you will get the idea. There are a lot of wash outs and dry sandy creek beds.

Quote:Don’t really need two anyway since we all have 2 ways
(providing there are plenty of repeater stations out there).Maybe Bolls, we will have one on the bikes anyway mate we need it for just in case mate. There is the possibility the support vehicle and the bikes could be 100kms + apart at times. There are a couple of sections where the support vehicle and the bikes are traveling on different routes so we need one with the bikes

Again like I said in Bills thread a minute
Be interested in your thoughts Bruce, as with anyone here that forks out their hard earned I value your / their opinion more then someone that is given stuff for free. I feel some that receive free test stuff will say something nice so suppliers are afraid to give then stuff to test. Just my opinion
But as good as this sounds Bruce

Don’t take the caliper of Boony
There is a bolt/pin at the bottom of the caliper, the bolt/pin goes through the bottom of both pads. Using a large screw driver carefully between the edge of the backing pad and the disc push the pistons back into the caliper. Remove the bolt/pin and the pads will fall out. Get the new pads and locate the top in the caliper and them refit the bolt/ pin, pump the brake up until you have a normal feeling brake and happy days.
Its the easiest maintenance job on a bike really

Quote:Hey TBI have been going through your list and am really happy to see mine is very similar, their are a couple of things I had forgotten that are on their too.
With the UHF radio I have no idea about these and any advice would be good?
also how much extra fuel are you carrying and what type of container?
Nick
I will be home about lunch tomorrow. I have to go and look at a bike for a bloke to purchase and will then take pictures of the fuel container. I am talking with a shop about UHF’s and a deal which I should have an answer about on Monday or later today
Also to other thing you asked for I will have access to when I get home mate and will e mail it to you

Bill, I am sorry for contributing towards you being upset this afternoon, I haven’t been through anything like this and pray I or anyone I know never will. I was so deeply upset and inspired by reading this that I felt I needed to share it.
I was recently asked again why I do what I do, be that riding bikes and devoting my time to OBT, organising rides, trips, events, suspension weekends, sponsors, members parts runs, fixing bikes, building wheels etc and its because I love this sport and the people in it but I, as I am sure others do, lose touch with the dangers of the sport and our own mortality. Riding my bike can affect more then me if it goes wrong, family, friends are just the tip of the ice berg. I wont stop doing it the same as I do now but a reminder of my mortality wont hurt me, especially to take stock and appreciate those and that around me
Sorry again Bill
