For many reasons that I wont type because the explanations are too long I would reuse the triple tree or at least look at it. The clamping force around the tubes isnt that high they use surface area for retaining as much as clamping force

    Its just my opinion

    tripleclamp.jpg

Its hard looking at pictures but a spray crack test kit could confirm it one way or another

Nice work with the rebuild Menace

Menace the pipe to barrel connection that the o rings have worn I would just try the standard “o” rings and some silastic could go to a slightly larger diameter “o” ring and silastic. Normal silastic will handle the job as it wont get hot enough just let the silastic cure

Bana (an Old Bull) had a reliable banana, fitted a big bore kit, blew up twice hasn’t been reliable since. IMO any bigger bore kit unless the engine was designed for it will compromise reliability simple mechanical science and facts prove that. The rod big end mains, cases etc are designed for the pressure and load that the standard bore puts on them, bigger increases that so it WILL wear it out faster

Buy a bigger bike or ride this one to its full potential

Bollocks has organised a Satellite phone for the support vehicle and as we maybe separated by a fair distance at times I reckon the bikes should have one as well

I have looked into the hire of a Satellite phone and this appears to be the best deal. We can hire it from Sydney and send it back from White Cliffs etc if we want.

A levy of $15 to $20 per rider will cover hire and freight back of the phone if that’s OK with everyone?

Have you tried local, or site supports? Could be worth your while if you get them and find they dont fit or some other drama, just a thought.
I have purchased OS many times before in case you are wondering, its just if you can get a deal local does support the industry.

BTO or Motorcross giant are the OS shops I most commonly used
