Not the Jim Beams later in the evening   Munted you called yourself

Here is the link Tiny I think it shows also the klms will vary a lot depending on the route. Boony’s right its 1050 each way the route google maps suggested. Our is over 1500 to the corner yet from halfway there, yet Tiny did less from much further away

That was 1400 each way from Penrith wasnt it Tiny? Main rds in a long weekend wasnt it staight there and back  Will see if I can find the post for ya Tiny

Hey are we getting complementary stubbie holders this year? Are you organising fuel at the berry patch on the day we go there? How many klms are each days rides? Whats organised for friday and saturday nights?
Am only asking cause this could be my first ride back as i have my results
TB
Sorry Boony but thats nothing like the route we are taking  we aren’t going via roads dirt or bitumen on the way out(the route you have marked) so dont abuse google maps    One of the first posts here has the out route although its changed from Silverton to the corner. I notice your post with the klms quote has been edited after it was posted     Anyway we under stand the confusion created by the written word I very much understood you orginal post as total klms

I will add that the route you have posted includes the main hwy  :silly: for a long section
It is nearly 1500kms to the corner the way we are going. The route back its around 1250km as I work it out. That could change at anytime before and during the ride. I will post the route up later but there is a massive section that is normally closed to the public that Boulder may have secured access to, so I am not sure if we can post that section up (map wise I mean)
Some of us going are riding from home out as well
Which way are you and your mate going from Tamworth next year?
1050 kms   Boony the route we are taking its almost 700kms from Condo to Broken Hill alone. Trust me Boony I am organising the ride and route so if I say its over 2500kms its over 2500kms ok
:blink:I have no idea how you arrived at the 1050kms you quoted a couple of posts ago because its 769kms each way from Condo to the Corner as the crow flys (Dead straight line)   769 x 2 = 1538km Good job Boony

Krusty at Cameron’s Corner
An American (Krusty) decided to write a book about famous churches around the world. So he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to Orlando, thinking that he would start by working his way across the USA from South to North.
On his first day he was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read “$10,000 per call”. Krusty, being intrigued, asked priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for.
The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. Krusty thanked the priest and went along his way.
Next stop was in Atlanta. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it. He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Orlando and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was.She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God. O.K., thank you,” said Krusty. He then travelled to Indianapolis, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York. In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same “$10,000 per call” sign under it.Krusty, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel to the AUSTRALIAN to see if Australians had the same phone. He arrived in the Australian outback at Cameron’s corner, and again, in the first church he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read “40 cents per call.” Krusty was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign.
Father, I’ve travelled all over America and I’ve seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I’m told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in the US the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?”The priest smiled and answered, “You’re in Australia now, mate – it’s a local call”.
