The tyres you start with will be the ones you will need to finish with mate, we wont have the room to carry spare tyres on the ride (I only ordered 2 to use one elsewhere, cheaper for 2  )
A Set of Bajas on that sort of riding will do the mileage.
Note to all going
The guys that are going to need to do and oil change mid ride will need to send there oil and filter to an address we will provide at Tippoburra. You could freight a tyre with your oil and filer. By the way package you oil so the freight company cant see its oil  or they may refuse to take it being flammable and all

Think so mate there were some on the rack today when I was there
Dont know what is doing with the price, it been 9 months at the same price :ohmy:TB

Quote:whats your thoughts on these tyres for the 400’s?? and what milage are you expecting from front and rear??Speak with Mal at Sutto’s mate if ya want, I reckon from experience seeing the Michelin Baja’s perform when we went to Cape York on the XR400 and XR600 they would be pretty high on my list front and rear.
I think Krusty spoke with Mal and they were talking Bridgestone and ED78’s on the rear. I have run a ED78 on the 650 before
TB
I managed to get into Sutto’s today (Salina drove me  ) I ordered two rear tyres for the trip they are Michelin T63

And the front Pirelli Scorpion Rally Front Tyre

I looked at

that Mal got in for us to look at. At first I thought it was to small but when I started thinking about it and remembered we had a support vehicle I reckon they would be just fine and your sleeping bag could be ocky strapped across the top

The above post is a classic example.

Well STM I sent to fork cleaners where is the write up??
Here is something I found elsewhere, I reckon your write and pictures will be heaps better
Before you throw your precious cash and time into fitting new seals, you may find there’s simply some dirt caught in the seal. Try grabbing a tearoff and cutting it into a hook shape, then simply slide it under the seal and drag it around.

(Thanks to ADB)

Cheers Ollie will let him know

Yeah I looked at the Kriega gear as you suggested it does look good mate.
