That’s a cracker Mick ride and report, a great idea the catch up and bet it was worth changing your mind as last I heard you weren’t going cause of the wet…

That run up to Gingers must of had your arse puckering in the wet on knobbies  (Only because I know what your like on road tyres in the dry :P) Seriously how many times did you think shit this isn’t worth it? I know it would have gone through my mind a 100 times wet, cold and slippery like that but so worth it when you got there to catch up  Did you sit on my chair at Gingers  :P (stupid plastic gone brittle in the sun  ) :P

How good is the old ore stamper nice love old machinery. Look forward to Boony’s report :)

Do you think it’s worth changing to harder pads for big rides on muddy days TB?

If it was going to be a long hard day maybe but you will lose that feel you now have and love  I now use a harder pad compound all the time and as I drag my back brake a bit I find the pads stay warm and dont feel as wooden all the time. Use your soft ones, put the old hard ones in your bum bag and just keep an eye on them when you have a break on the trail

I just got another tip to improve my rear brake and it was to use 600 wet and dry on the disc and blow of the dust using an air compressor then use the muc-off disc cleaner then either fit new pads or scuff up your exsisting pads .I have just done it and had a test ride afterwards , their is a definate improvement.
I think with all the rain we are going to need as much rear brake feel as poss and hopefully this may help someone stay upright!

Yeah thats sort of what I said in my first post here with the softer pads but watch out on muddy days, rear pads (especially soft ones) and mud dont like one another  I once used two sets of pads to the backing plates a few years ago at a two enduro at Barrington tops and trashed a disc :(
Trouble with muddy days is all that cleaning and preparation is gone at the first mud puddle
That Muc-off disc cleaner good stuff and smells great

She’s young, lithe and homely, wise by no means,
Known one guy she’s for his eyes and only,
He’s a lying phony, leaves crying, lonely,
Separates the pain by staying high and though she,
Might just O.D. high price to go free,
This aint living, listen it’s dying slowly,
It’s got a hold on me, she can chase that feeling,
It’s got a hold on me, don’t chase that feeling

Sometimes I feel we strive for a life of apathy,
Callous deeds, other mindless acts of greed,
Aint jack for free, I think they’d try a tax to breathe,
It’s like we fight to remind us that we bleed,
I take flight in the night from lack of sleep,
Cause peace of minds the only time that we’re free,
It’s got a hold on me, and I’m a chase that feeling,
It’s got a hold on me, we all chase that feeling

    [Verse 3:]
    (Suffa)
It’s like they try to build you up to watch it all collapse,
You try climb out the pit, they’ll try claw you back,
Like back in the factory packing the shelves,
It was hell cos the foreman was always harassing me,
Like ‘How’s your little old music thing going?’
Now I’m like ‘How’s your bitter old loser shit going?’
And I’m right, it’s got a hold on me, and I’m a chase that feeling,
It’s got a hold on me, I’m a chase that feeling like I

    [Chorus:]
And I’m a chase that feeling,
Take that pain and replace that feeling,
And I’m a take that healing then,
Stand so tall they’ll have to raise that ceiling man

    [Verse 4:]
    (Pressure)
From a young age I was making my mark, chasing my start,
Forever aint enough when your state of the art,
Fuck the haters that had said I’d never make it this far,
It’s the pavers that I’d tread to dedicate to my craft,
I’ve tailored every thread that bare the shape of my heart,
Treating every breathe as my first and day as my last,
It’s got a hold on me, I still chase that feeling,
It’s got a hold on me, yeah I still chase that feeling

    [Verse 5:]
    (Suffa)
I ride the rails of a vinyl track,
Fall into a trance and there aint no climbing back,
Sit and lose myself in all the hidden loops,
They’re like forbidden fruits, I’m like can I get a bite of that?
Gin and juice, I get loose and I write a track,
Shivers down my spine, feeling more like a spinal tap,
It’s got a hold on me, and I’m a chase that feeling,
It’s got a hold on me, I’m a chase that feeling like I

    [Chorus:]
And I’m a chase that feeling,
Take that pain and replace that feeling,
And I’m a take that healing then,
Stand so tall they’ll have to raise that ceiling man

    [Verse 6:]
    At start of the summer,
I’m a come to life and have the heart of a hummingbird,
And I can hear the drummer,
She’s so ugly but I’m so in love with her,
Wake up, roll out of bed, throw on some roll-on,
    Roll up to the studio,
It’s got a hold on me, and I’m a chase that feeling,

I got a freaky old lady name a Cocaine Kitty who embroiders on my jeans.
I got my poor old gray-haired daddy
    drivin my limousine.
Now its all designed to blow our minds
but our minds won’t really be blown
like the blow that’ll getcha when you get your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone.

I must mention here that the birthday sticker was made out of normal run of the mill sticker and print for your tool box or rear window of the car

    img017640x480.jpg

Its not made of the same material that the graphic kits are, they are much thicker and have a clear sheet over the top to protect the print which works a dream as I have been pressure washing the hell out of mine for three years

I thought that should be pointed out so people dont think they are the same stuff

Also Craig @ Tee n Cee had the idea for the birthday stickers before I did and had it under control and did it for free which made it happen

Mal and I saw a dude on a Husaberg 570 at the Kenda last week have the biggest high speed slide and recover I have ever seen. There was feet and arms everywhere. After that a mere mortal would have just sat and shit his pants but ol mate started pumping the air and wanted to race as I went under him the next time he was straight into a corner  Legend eh Mal ;)
