Oh my idea was you could take the blinkers and such off the 300 and use them for that part of your problem was all.

Yeah like Mick said S12’s for mud and loam I love them, awesome grip but dont last for long. Having said that I saw Moto get a massive run out of an S12 rear in the rock and hard pack conditions on our Orange ride a while back that said he does ride like a homo

If you dont like or cant fit tyres a lot I wouldnt use an S12 on a big bike like the Berg IMO

Are you at the stage where the travel is robbing you of a life yet Greg?

    BC

I have been doing it for 5 years now Bruce and I am very lucky 90% of my training is done in my training facility 20 mins from home. The trips away are limited to probably 7 weeks a year of which I work out where and when within reason. A couple of times a year instead of staying at a motel or the likes I will book a caravan park cabin and line it up with school holidays and take the family. Nearly all my rides at Wauchope are based around a training trip I have lined up to suit me ;)

That said this trip sux as I will have been away for nearly 3 weeks because of the 4 day week as I left straight from there to go to Brisbane but the good well and truly out ways the bad

Thanks for all the help guys, the bikes finally running good now and the poppings pretty well stopped. In the end we put the needle on the 5th clip from the top, left the main jet at 180, changed the pilot jet to a 45 and put the fuel screw out 1.5 turns and that seemed to fix it pretty well.

Hi guys what you need is

    Standard needle (OBDZT)
clip should be on the 5th position from the top
    40 pilot jet
    180 main
air screw should be 1 1/2 turns out

If you find it still pops maybe try a 45 pilot

    Hope that helps

    Cheers
    Scott

Thats great Mike, thanks to TISCO (Scotty) at Sutto’s he certainly took all the guess work out of it. Happens I guess when someone who knows what they are talking or has done it about gets involved cheers again guys

Check the link, they go good and wear very well. KTM race team use them now I see at the 4 day and they live on my 650 well so your little Berg wont trouble them  Mal, Rocket, Crash Micknmeld all use them and are heppy with them

Two things ECKS I supported your local bloke as well :)

And the plushness you describe now in the top of you stroke is because of your soft springs. Harder springs will take that away because they are stiffer to hold the bike higher (in simple terms). Think about it as the srings hold you up at then top part but as it goes down the valving slows it
