Here is a new one Lochie got a sneaky one on the side of the GHR truck whilst at Condo

Go Kat Go
Some of the best problem solving is done after walking away for a while and starting with a fresh mind
On the Honda fuse thing I have seen 2 CRF 450’s blow the main fuse have the fuse replaced nothing else done and not blow again for 12 months
There is a re route for CRF cabling that I saw at GHR, we can check it out at the maintenance day

TB
Dan are you 100% sure its cracked not a fabrication casting and if so where on the swing arm is the crack?
TB
Day 1 dawned and up early, Bacon and egg rolls all round. Crash suited up and we rolled his map on final instructions nervous wees and of to the start

Crash’s lined up behind a DR440 Rally Kit bike

DR440 Rally Kit bike

BMW 650 with a big tank

Crash started his pre race stretches

Everybody ready and waiting

Crash waiting to start

And away we go

So of we drive to service point 1, Lochie did all the navigation for the support vehicle

And at the first control Crash arrives having been through a fence, yes a fence!

Yelling to Lochie to get the camera and take some pictures whilst I am trying ti straighten out the front of the bike, the mud guard was bent the forks twisted in the triple clamps the fairing was broken. Cable ties and cordless drill, happy days

Rolled a new map in and away he went again

Air filter after two selectives yes Boony that’s dust !

After lunch no real dramas, on the transport Crash decided he was thirsty so we exchanged drinks at 100kph

Transport back into town

Top speed day 1

ECKS

I did and air filter change, fueled the bike, fitted a new set of grips, lubed the chain, checked the oil and just kicked the tyres

Day 2 tomorrow
Righto we left home here at about 11ish good Friday and I drove us out to Condo, mindful of the warning about double points weekend cheers Dan
Once at Condo we selected a camping area and set about camping area, problem one for the weekend, yes we had all the gear expect a bike stand  Lochie took the two new front tyres we had a starcross S3 and an AC10 down to the GHR setup and spoke with Simon about tyre choice, AC10 it was.Once done ran the bike and his helmet to scrutineering

Problem number 2  rules state white backgrounds black numbers, Crash has red backgrounds white numbers

Problem fixed

Crash then got down the to the task of highlighting his maps (Should have highlighted the BLOODY FENCE he hit  )

Once done it has to be fitted to the map reader

Once then we setup camp

GHR’s setup

Lochie at the KTM tank

Lochie was given the job of navigator for the support vehicle and took his job very seriously, he studied the route book

much more later on

I am sorting through 250 pictures at the minute and will star loading in between packing to go away this arvo for the 4 day after getting home last night
Few details
Yes Crash went through a fence day one first stage if I remember right dust was wicked
Top speed day one 156 kph

Top speed day two 166 kph

Carby problem in the last 20kms of the last stage and him lost the 4 positions he made in the start of the stage :S
Thanks to Brett (fireman for his help)
TB
Maybe the S is for Suzuki Dan
Yes surprising where you can get one if you have a go and dont mind roughing it up a bit

Quote:Wishing you well .As Chicken would say “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail” by the looks of things a lot of thought and preparation has gone into the mission. You are half way there, all you need now is for Crash to go like the clappers.
Good luck boys!!And a spare front wheel Mick
