drop the Jindabyne – to Groggin bit, and camp and start at Tom Goggin Station, has a bunk house and accomadation for about 20-25, toilets, kitchen, shed and tools , and the manager is a bike wise man.
AND
MtPinnibar is at the back door, great place to start a ride. This was the orginal plan below, we will now work on getting a date there again, will add you name to a reserve list

I am so pleased to announce that we will be staying at Tom Groggin station on the friday before our ride and will be leaving our cars on this beautiful station
This station is part of history in the snowy mountains, here is a grab from the net regarding Tom Groggin Station
Tom Groggin Station, Khancoban
Alpine Way Via ThredboTom Groggin Station is a farm stay accommodation. A 4 bedroom
unit is attached to the farm house on the property. Meals may be supplied
or you may cater for yourself. Go horseriding in the ’Man from Snowy
River’ country. Fish in crystal clear mountain streams. Relax in the
tranquil atmosphere of this beautiful high country station.
Thredbo ski resort is only 30 minutes away, and Jindabyne approximately 1 hourThey have a kitchen for our use in on the saturday morning for breakfast, will need to bring your own food and 7 people need to swag it for this to happen.
I am going to get my dinner in Thredbbo on the way down
Price for the night will be around $40 / person we think
This is worth a read, it gets fairly emotionally charged towards the end but is worth a look

I still cant understand as a Mousse generates so much heat and needs lube?? You should try it Ollie, at least you cant pinch them or glue the patches on without removing the backing   Very interesting but, and really if someone is cheap enough to run a retread tennis balls aren’t a stretch really eh?
Will watch this space be cheaper then a $200 mousse
I saw a guy on a ride once try stuffing a rear tyre with dry grass, was very funny and didnt work
TB
I have seen these Ollie before, but they need to be greased to slip around the tyre and I cant work out how with tennis balls you could do that. They would chaff to pieces otherwise if you know what I mean like a dry mousse tube
But then if he runs retreads anything is possible I guess

Get some photos maybe

Righto last try at a date didnt work, the 5th of June has been tossed because it didnt suit to many people
Final date to be attempted is the 3rd of July

The Woolshed is a feature of Vicary’s Winery http://www.vicaryswinery.com.au/
The Woolshed details are here

Quote:On a recent ride I was alarmed to find a new gate at the supposed border of a State Forest and what the sign on the gate said was “private property, no trail bikes”. No mention about 4WD vehicles. No need to mention 4w4 maybe as the gate takes care of themIt is a particularly good trail known as a fire trail and if not for us dirt bikers would have been overgrown years ago.
I had heard from a friend it is illegal for property ownerts to lock a gate which provides public access to a National Park even if the ‘road’ runs through their property. Is that true and if so, what about State Forests? If the track / road / access track is gazetted then they can put up a gate but cant be locked, but if its not gazetted they are well within their right if its their land
If a gate is erected on a State Forest or National Park border can it be locked legally to block access? If its erected by the forestry or NPWS’s yes of course
