Having ridden through to Gingers Creek on this ride thread here I can only say that the guy in the article from the Ulysses club is a bigger wanker now then before and I thought he was a fair size wanker then  .

The road can only be described as in fantastic condition, I only saw two small potholes and the biggest hassle was a trail of cow effluent from a cattle truck and even that wasn’t enough to give you the shits (pun intended :P )

Again I stress that people need to be responsible for their own actions, should I have thrown it down the road whilst backing into a corner the only person I have to blame is myself because once on that bike the choices are mine good or bad.

what is that black thingo on your bar pad TB??

    is it for the bluetoofs??

The bluetooths are all wireless and in and on each helmet

No its Velcro, I stick stopwatches, maps, Velcro stuck on energy bar wrappers in races to eat on the fly all sorts of stuff to it to get quickly on the move

(remember this is in the tech section before you laugh)

I knew two brothers that lived at Mangrove Mountain, rumour from a source that used to see it happen was when they came towards one another up there in their cars they used to cross to the wrong side of each respective road side to pass if that makes sense

Very silly stuff, never saw it but like I said heard plenty about it

no wait its a motard bike now
    Boony ;)

Boony its always been that way since I got the bike from GHR, because of the 2 inch bar lift from the aftermarket triple clamp combined with Kevin Windham high bend bars the cables would never be long enough.

As I said before I have done it with other bikes including DRs with high bend bars both on and off road use

I have on my bike and others including a DR had to run to cables on the riders side of the bars (not behind the head light) and straight under the fuel tank if that makes sense. I will take a picture later. This gives you heaps of free cable

I would love to do this ride but I will be away in QLD, Bugger.

Hey I dropped my bike in at motorcyclebiz to get some work done on it while I’m away and the guy there sent a pic to Lance Turnley from Trailzone telling him how it came to Oz via Namibia and they may do a little story on it.

Oh well will be heading off on the holiday in a moment so probably wont be on here for a couple of weeks. Have fun and ride safe

Thats a pity about this ride Jeffro, enjoy your break away mate :)

There has been a change in plan Mick I have reserved a cabin space with mister Boon and will have my 100mm piston there also.
As discussed if your crew could take my bike back and lock up in your shed whilst I continue to QLD that would be a great help and make the ride possible for me

Rocket is the crankcase breather blocked or does it have excessive blow by that is causing the seal to leak as its the easiest exit point.

If that’s the case and you beef up the seal area and stop it leaking it will leak at another seal or spot

Just a thought as you sound as though you have done the seal properly
