Yeah sorry we missed Wikd, we arrived at 10.20 and left just before 11 which was the time I think I posted last nite we would be there.
Was a pity we missed you and as far as a ride report goes well I think it will be posted soon mate.

The heat today was wrong was the worst I have ever experienced in the 37 years I have been riding.

We had a great day with great company

is quite common on smokers that have an incorrect float height and yes they go out of adjustment as the needle and seat wear a little or just plain vibration and terrain

Hey Mr Blue I am not one to argue with yourself but whilst riding around in the heat today I got to thinking about the needle and seat going out of adjustment. Firstly I think that they run a rubber tipped needle so I cant see it wearing a great deal on a bike that hasn’t done 700kms yet. Even if it had a full brass set up how much wear would have to have in the needle and seat to cause the float to be out 1mm, remembering a hell of a lot as you would know a needle and seat needs only the tiniest tiny smallest wear to cause other fuel issues before surging over humps.
Sorry I could be and am happy to be wrong but to be fine one afternoon then surge when low enough to warrant switching to reserve and have an on going problem the next morning with a full tank doesnt sound like the float adjusted itself.
Could have dragged some shit through on the low level as you suggested with myself and others
