Private Kawasaki, does Santa still bring ya presents :P , there was rumours around about him leaving after the 2nd round of the championship when he had the public melt down, in the states he was rumoured to be talking to Kawasaki, Honda and another that my memory fails me before the split became public only days before but before

I said it elsewhere I’ll state my opinion here,

I for one minute do not believe David Knight had to pull a privateer bike together, has anyone else seen the specs and photos of the KX450F he rode, WP suspension, Hinett Clutch advance fuel system, trick everything.. “Oh look someone left this totally tricked up competitive mega-buck race bike lying round, and wadda ya know it has my favourite suspension and it’s all dialled in for my massive frame too, guess if no-one else wants to use it I’ll borrow it for a race or two”. And that race happens to be the toughest race in the series, slap bang in the middle of the worlds most affluent bike buying public, who all love a good underdog story, and Kawasakis sales of KX/KLXs have been lagging somewhat, all co-incidence? I think not

Yeah right he’s been in talks with the green factory before he left BMVV.

And from Kawasakis Point of View “Oh look here’s a discarded current world champion enduro rider left lying about, and no-one wants him, poor bugger… oh well guess we could throw him a few baubles to help him back onto his feet” .

I for one think he would be competitive with a wheel barrow after all look what he won on a Kato :P

Its very nice Gidders, I like the under bar damper thats phat the carbon fibre looks great, but I just dont know every time I look at Ollie’s or Eagles carbon fibre guards or bash plates I find I can push them in and just wonder if they would flex to much still allowing damage?

I love the fact its clean and the bike and tyres are bike shinned it looks great top job

Moto’s would look good to if he washed it or gave it a little love instead it looks like a &%$* wreck :P

I recently fitted one of their plastic kits from the states for a fellow, comes in a nice yellow Acerbis box (cheap $144 aus, front and rear mudguards, radiator shrouds, side plates) and I for one was impressed with the fitting, every thing lined up so much so that I recently recommended the same for a new project bike that I am involved with.

Longevity well there are to many variables, should be OK, they are a quality brand, that’s why KTM dont use them anymore :P

Scotty I so agree with what you have written there its so true, Fathead services some of the police DRs over that side of Sydney and it wrong the lack of maiantance they get, I mean they wont spend the money.

When I went to the Cape we saw the hire bikes (DR’s all of them) up there and they looked like they had very little service and the guys flogged the guts out of them, when we spoke with one of the tour operators he said they had tried everything and came back to the DRs, air filters he said was the key, but thats any bike

Of the performance based bikes 450’s I think the WR450 would take some beating for value, reliability, performance, longevity, availability of spares and after market accessories

Good on you Tyne, just two things once you learn to ride can you teach Moto and I am worried once (in a day or two) when you are faster then Moto he wont handle it, remember the swimming race debacle remember how he carried on that night

    Good on you again
