Quote:The genuine Camelbak valve will cost you about $16 on its own, so at $24 for the whole kit and caboodle is reasonable value for the average weekend warrior.Worked out over say 6 years, and against a failure on the trail on a hot day, I haven’t seen a failure on the trail of a camelbak where I had a cheaper one leak in contents out on a long rode with chicken, Robbies bladder split on the cape ride one morning leaving him witout his owm water for hrs that day, we rode with LC’s cousin at orange and he couldnt take his mouth piece out of his mouth because it leaks (non camelback)
Just my opinion, gear failure sux it lets you and everyone down.TB.
I bought a cheaper one like this at a camping show for $19.95 but the bladder wasnt user friendly compared to a camelback, so I just use a camelback bladder in it. The original bladder just doesnt compare, rest of it is a good thing
Unfortunately, like Ollie pointed out his Mule camelback has last 10years, thats value for money, the cheaper one wont do that.

When I taught my little bloke he was only four, I just spent time making sure he could work the brake and I had a screw in the throttle to limit the amount of throttle he had. I then had him ride about 3 metres to me and stop and repeated the stop start thing a lot getting further and further apart until he had it down pat. We had one panic when he came to me with dinner plate eyes and panic all over, building speed by the metre I had to grab him and dodge the bike
It seemed to work so I was going to try and teach Moto, but I dont hold much faith

TB
So you thought it was ok then?
TB
Yeah sorry Ollie but that is the worst welding job of any material / metal I have ever seen, ever I reckon you got nuts putting the picture on the site
A job like that any welder should be able to handle, the bike shops would know one in town Tiny

Quote:It was dissapointing for me, although not unexpected. I hope next year they at least put some FI on the bike. The frame mod is the only real change that you might notice,Its interesting that a person in the know told me they thought that KTM’s development would slow down for the next year or so because they (KTM) are getting into other areas Road bikes, Cars , Quads etc more and more and the research and development side would be stretched thin. I would have bet money on them having at least EFI this year on at least their their motorcross bikes, do they? Husaberg have it, and they are supposed to be all KTM parts aren’t they? Maybe ol mate is right regarding
R & D, just a thought :dry:TB
He did the one round as a “Privateer” on a factory bike is the crutch of it, I would say there may have been some back ground issues before another job / paid ride became public knowledge (legal)
