For the time it takes I would whip the tyre off and patch from inside, even with heavy duty tubes it could become a tube pinching machine and nothing worse than mutiple punctures to ruin your day!!

Thats a good point Boulder, as the tyre rotates and expands and contracts the softer tube could get caught in the opening and closing hole, would pinch it for sure, even a heavy duty. Food for thought mick

    Sunday 22:00 EST
A trough could bring isolated showers over northern NSW and southern QLD. A front and strong westerly winds should bring showers to southern NSW, VIC, TAS and southern SA. Onshore winds could bring few showers to southwest WA. Mostly dry elsewhere under a belt of high pressure.

    Issued Monday 11:34 EST

The crew won`t be arriving till around 7ish apparently, so ya better leave thr run till then so they can all have a laugh:woohoo:

The fire will be going in the backyard, so come round to the back gate Boys!!!(opposite the Fire Station)
A cold brew will await, I`m sure;)

7PM NO WAY, we are also going up the power lines two up on it, so we will need day light for that and the grass around the back will have dew on it and we will crash!!!!

Showers increasing and 27 degrees. Sounds like a stormy weekend to me.

Perfect that’s what we wanted no dust ;)

Just one thing, getting to 27 degrees on a rainy winters day? Sounds strange to me

I will watch with baited breath to see if anyone else have a similar sidewall incident.

Dan and I talked about you tyre incident on Sunday (via Blue tooth) while riding some really nasty sharp flint style rock and thought it would have been a one off
Years ago I put a stick through the side wall of a $240 desert tyre as used by 80% of the safari field, the shop couldn’t believe it, it happens as you said its 6 ply and its no taller in the wall profile then a Pirelli Scorpion or a ED78 Bridgestone. Even bad luck can happen to you, maybe a garlic necklace next time :P (private joke)
