Dont know Boony, but I tell you what I have kept all the PM’s from squirrel and now I look at them, god he sounds like Moto and it all fits, and Moto was away last time squirrel was and when we went on the caves to caves he never posted like other ride weekends when Moto was away

Dont know could be either, Moto cant get on the net for the next 22 hrs he is flying, so we will see if the squirrel turns up I guess

Until now the squirrel has been pretty clever but could he have slipped up, because I know for a fact that another well known identity from this site was flying out of the country today and let one and all know that he was, also he says things like later fools, the squirrel has called me a mole bag like this other person does, this other person also knows computers pretty well.

You are so right Bruce, I get about 4 emails a day on average from local and overseas shops with specials, it is so a buyers market

I bought knee braces last year for $660 delivered from the USA, the same braces here at the time where $1190
I got a serve from a bike shop owner because I bought them overseas and not local, I explained the price and that the same braces he had for sale where $1190 before the dollar went to 95cents and the price remained $1190 when the dollar was good. he blamed the importers WTF I asked had he spoken with the importers and he walked of

I note with interest this week the braces have gone up and when I asked an employee why, I was told because the dollar was down?? How does that work??

I support my local shops that help me and OBT members and they do a great job, like those boots Battyes have on special at the moment, freight taken into account they are cheaper.

Sutto’s have a great special on IRC tyres at the moment and they can freight they cheap, speak with Mal and tell him Greg from OBT sent you

Battyes pivot pegz deal is another great example of a local shop doing the deal for us

I think bulk buy items are the go, be it whatever we want Moto spoke about even doing an insurance bulk deal once, as a group our buying power would be huge.

I know a group of guys that set a date to save towards and all buy from a shop in the USA and combine all their orders on the one shipping bill and save themselves heaps, they bought neck braces once for $380 each because it was a bulk buy and the same braces here retailed for $600 +

Looks like a great ride Mal, would be interested in going out there if you are in the future, I was think about in august running a ride from Hampton to the kowmung and back but have to see as I could be having my shoulder done in the hope of being back for the snowy ride in November ( as the latest specialist has told be 3 months if I do my rehabilitation ), that means I would only be a spectator at Louee :angry:

As far as the rest of you goes the organiser will have taken into account the temperature and will know that if you are wearing basic riding gear and a enduro style jacket (maybe long johns)that he will keep the trails challenging and slow (2nd and 3rd gear type riding) hills mud etc because that will raise your core temperature working hard, but if its fire trails, dirt roads and bitumen that will reduce it
