For the record TB I will need the start point address as I haven’t been there before.

p.s. I will be ordering a rear tank this week to be sure fuel wont be a problem.

Buy yourself a brass fuel tap and a brass T piece instead of the plastic ones that comes with the tank, if you have any dramas I have fitted two of those tanks on DR’s, the fuel line routing can be a little tight on a doctor.

Will PM you the start address and my number if you have a question when fitting the tank.

This ride is going to be bigger than Hitler’s gas bill !!

Forestry have to shoulder some of the blame too, for letting it go ahead.

Forestry have given up Beagle as I have tried to explain to people, they have tried to rehabilitate areas by putting mesh and netting down in areas to stop it washing away and people keep riding the same tracks. Now they dont have any money and are fighting a losing battle, so they now log it, get the money and rather then regenerate growth the sell it to national parks, they rehabilitate it and say piss of everybody. If its such a big area why does nearly every ride report have the same hills and areas in it? I know this from taking the time and stopping to talk with rangers, both Forrest and NPWS
Sadly it would take us all to stand together as a group but we wont its not the Aussie way
Now thats really the end of my rant :P

    Cheers
    Dr D

Yeah it will be a great ride but its full at 7 because of the distance we are traveling and because there are only 4 stops planned all day in the 450kms and it starts at 5.30am not everyone’s cuppa

    I`m glad I Stayed Home B)

Free Yamaha wont give us back our self mismanaged ride areas will it, but guess it gives another person somewhere to illegally ride when it gets to that

Thats me done on the subject I would rather be positive ;)

Well for those going I have just been down the Sutto’s and spoken with Mal as he has helped with the route change down the Putty to Colo Heights, thanks Mal

I cant decide if I should fit my 17 or 30 litre fuel tank, I have never fitted the 30L before.

Chicken has his 24L, Boulder his big tank which I think is over 25L and as I said Crash has his 30L all ready fitted ready to go so there will be enough fuel for the couple with standard tanks

The ED 78 Bridgestone that has now done just under 800kms on the rear is still looking real good and will see the trip out..

Its all coming together I think we will stay at Farmers Arms Hotel in Bathurst
It has a nice snug bar complete with the old fridges behind the bar, roaring open fire etc.

    Address:
    Vale Road,
    Bathurst
    New South Wales 2795

I will organise the accommodation as normal

For those of you that are interested, I have 3 pairs of Oxtar boots left that I want to clear

I have two pairs of the original Oxtar TCX Pro’s that TB is currently wearing,

    1 x Size 41/US8 colour RED $370.00 Freighted

    1 x Size 49/US15 colour BLACK $370.00 Freighted

The last pair is the Oxtar TCX Pro 2

    1 x Size 44/US10.5 colour WHITE $420.00 Freighted
    (just like the picture above)

These prices are below cost, we no longer deal with the company that imports these boots, so I am not able to purchase any other pairs.

Send me an email with all your details if you would like to purchase a pair & I will send you our bank account details

    Thank you
    The Fat Bat

Mate those Oxtar TCX Pro 2, 1 x Size 44/US10.5 colour WHITE for $420.00 Freighted (just like the picture above) is a steel as Beagle said they are $650 elsewhere, spewing I need a 45 not 44

Just on the subject of billet gear levers, I lean towards a mild steel lever because they bend and can be bent back on the trail wheres a billet alloy normally snaps and thats it unless you carry one
