Yeh! I went for a bit of a blat this avo after work on the old RMX smoker, out on some local fire trails, need to keep the hand in ,so to speek:) The old smoker has it’s short comings, but it loves a good fast hill climb,n so do I,,,,but out alone,,,caution is the order of the day:unsure: Still I got in about 30k’s of dirt n some nice bush and a bit of a look around the place.
Kept me of the piss for the avo aswell:P

They gave me a new fuel cap for my 07
Some sort of fault I presume.
    Cheers

You bet. They had a nasty habit of coming off whilst riding. Well documented events led to the recall/re-issue of fuel caps after numerous poor people having to visit the burns unit.

What seemed as drizzle on the goggles or a wet feeling on the jersey soon became a fireball. Not good at all.

Yeh! Thats pretty nasty,,like when do yu ever look down at yu tank whilst riding,if the cap is loos,,, or gone, The first thing yu know about it is the smell of fuel then flams,,,,NOT GOOD.

Checked out my local bike shops to day,Sydney city bikes has got DRZ’s going for $8k on road,2 year waranty,,,so I went home put the sales pich to the wife:ohmy: got a cold / warm responce wich I took as a positive. So i jumped on the old RMX n took it down for a trade in prise, offered me $1k :( ,stuff that! but wasn’t serprised.
Anyway, now I’m thinking, what is the best go, to get a brand new bike that needs all the extras,or to keep looking for a good used one that some body has already spent the money on and added all the good stuff ,looks like I’m going for a DRZ now anyway.
I’d probably go for the new one if i could flog the RMX before the end of the month, cos thas when the $8k deal ends.
Normaly I’d go for the good used model with all the add on’s for a stock used prise,,,,but $8k is pretty cheep for a new 400. Ands I’m getin sick of looking, just need a new bike to get out on some OBT rides.?????????
    cheers Teza.
